QUOTE(advocado @ Jun 6 2012, 09:05 AM) Don't you think giving them walkers may discourage them from learning to walk themselves since they already have the walker? Also how would it impact the baby's development when they "walk" in sitting position? walker wasn't abuse to encourage the baby to "sit and walk" for long run... it just a convenient for a "curious" baby who like to walk around the environment by himself without adult's assistance... once the baby know how to crawl properly, the walker have no purpose anymore... if anyone think walker is used to teach the baby how to walk, definitely is wrong... the baby should learn by themselves for crawl, stand and walk with little adult's assistance and patient and without relying on any equipments This post has been edited by gkl83: Jun 6 2012, 09:30 AM |

sometime walker also have danger too especially the baby trying to pick the stuff on the floor as they may use their leg to "jack up" themselves from inside... it happened to my baby as trying to get out from walker, end up he lost the balance and his head slam on the walker's body outside frame and with up-side down mode as lucky his leg still inside the walker... otherwise his head will heading to the floor...
