I can't understand why Liverpool want Martinez for the post. Could someone please explain to me. I would prefer AVB than him.

Brendan Rodgers would be another good choice than Martinez although he had turned down the offer. Maybe the owner should just bring Rafa Back. My pick would be:
1. Pep Guardiola 2. AVB/Rafa |

QUOTE(farisq @ May 19 2012, 11:11 PM) Also Soccernet has reported the following: Harry Harris is unreliable "Fenway Sports Group's 'long list' of ten candidates does include older managers, and former England boss Fabio Capello, 65, may be sounded out. Rafael Benitez is not on that list "for the time being" but he might eventually be included, if some of the prime candidates fall by the wayside, and it is ESPN's understanding that he has registered his interest in the post." sos |

I don't think Pep would go to Liverpool. Plus he did mention he wanted to take a year off from football. Moreover, Liverpool will not be playing in the Champions League next season.

Deschamps is also a good choice in my opinion.

Congratulations to Chelsea. I feel a bit jealous when Chelsea won and bitter when Torres lifted the cup

I do want AVB to get the job. I like him when he was in Porto and had hoped he would manage Liverpool. But he went to Chelsea instead plus King Kenny got the job.

QUOTE(all blacks @ May 26 2012, 09:58 PM) Wish we could get Pep G n looks like Martinez isn't the only one the owners are currently talking too... http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/152491.html I think it's possible if RDM becomes Chelsea Manager. I hope the owner would try to approach Pep and AVB first before making his mind on hiring Martinez. |

Do you guys think Martinez is a good manger? If I'm not mistaken, he only did well for only one season (or two) and the rest was not good. I really can't understand why the owner really interested with Martinez.

30 million is not enough IMO. Wish we had a lot of money like Chelsea and City
