Rafa Benitez's former assistant Xavi Valero is mulling over the possibility of a return to Anfield, after Fenway Sports Group made him a formal offer to return to the coaching staff.
The highly-rated goalkeeping coach (39) has been out of work since leaving Inter Milan when Rafa Benitez was bombed out after challenging club president Massimo Moratti to 'back him or sack him' in relation to transfer funds.
Valero has continued to work with Benitez as an assistant and like the former Liverpool manager, he continues to reside on Merseyside.
Meanwhile, newspaper reports tomorrow (Tuesday) will claim that Reds boss Kenny Dalglish wasn't "summoned" to Boston for talks with club owners FSG but that he made the decision himself to fly out there to try and clear up speculation relating to his future before a planned family holiday on Wednesday.
Finally, former Liverpool target Eden Hazard has confirmed that he will be moving to Manchester in the summer. Premier League champions Manchester City are favourites to land him.

Hi folks, take 2 mins of ur time and read this.

Why AVB might make it in Liverpool and not chelsea.
http://katecohensoccer.wordpress.com/2012/...rpool%E2%80%8F/

After reading this, and getting to noe more about AVB's football philosphy. I find it very interesting to know how liverpool's gonna do in EPL next season with him as manager. Totally clear off my doubt about him. And like the writer stated, our team is young, energetic. All we need is a man to instill the philosophy and winner mentality into their mindset.

I think the biggest worry is, the ego of AVB.
AVB had too much ego and he lost the dressing room (i.e. Frank Lampard, Lukaku etc).

Ego or not, the only problem I c is the blue senior player is trying to oust him out for not playing them and phasing them out immediately without proven results from the players he fielded.

Yes, he might be hardheaded in not tweaking his tactic, but we should admire that at his age, he takes the risk to phase out seniors players and plays youngster, which is wat we often hope to that KD will play sterling suso or whoever. Unluckily for him, It just backfires in chelsea. Though if I were him, I would do it slowly till I get the right players to replace the old ones.

He froze Lampard. And there was backfire.
DM played Lampard and you see the results.

That's y I said, if I were him, I will do it slowly not immediately. Old guards being old guards, though they're old, they might still come good in big games wit their experience. So probably his mistakes is for him to eat up but who doesn't make mistakes. And probably the reason why he can afford to do so is cos he has the money to buy in players he want anytime but not in liverpool though. SG still has juices in him and I doubt fsg will for out another 100m for him.

If we had the transfer budget, we might have Mata on our right and Silva on our left.
If we spent our money wisely, we might have 2-3 world class players in our team.  laugh.gif

It is said that before signing downing, commoli suggested to dalglish to take up mata for left wing position. But dalglish decided against it and opt for downing instead. I wasn't that disappointed if I do not know bout this.. But now that I read about it, who would opt for downing instead of mata seriously.

Ps: I do not have the source as I read it thru twitter.. Koptalk or something. They actually posted an article bout this news, but its months back. Probably needed some digging for it.

It seems we can expect pep guardiola back into coaching very soon rather than taking a break.

Now this is interesting.
