Seems like Samsungs and Preve aren't playing nice. I remember someone mentioned a Samsung phone as well - couldn't link. Have you tried a BT pairing? Or sambung usb?

Tried BT pairing did not work, will try USB later. I also tried using Nokia, HU do not like Nokia as well. I think only iphone and blackberry can pair.

7 hours is a long, long, loooonggggg time man. How many cars can they do simultaneously?
They were doing 4 cars, 2 preves, 1 elantra and 1 audi a4. Then along the way, one fortek owner came to change side mirror and repolish bonnet because he tore off the rear spoiler.
Off topic, this new elantra is a big hype, you pay RM100k plus but you get 16v dohc engine? Our Preve is better, AT is so yesterday already.
*
this is not true.

I paired with my Galaxy Ace. MP3 Music can stream through bt without any problem.

The only problem is when making calls/receiving calls. I can hear the voice clearly unfortunately at the other side couldn't hear me clearly. Maybe the positioning of the mic. Wonder where the mic would be.

I got my black Preve (CFE) yesterday (14/5/2012). Booked during Power of 1 event (last day). I got it from Crystal showroom (HICOM).

1. The car is much much better than the testdrive unit

2. No lagging (very less lagging), the car start to move fast at about 1,500 rpm

3. I'm comfortable with all the features since similar with my previous merc E240.
- the autolight
- the autorain sensor
- the followme home light
- the auto up/down window
- the changing signal (flick the indicator)
- the remote boot

4. Engine sound higher than the Merc E240 (as expected) but not that much. I test with soundmeter (android), the merce is about 65db - 67db, the preve is about 66db - 68db... and my wife saga is about 68db-71db

5. First time driving CVT...and now I understand what does it mean by effortless driving. The car reach at 120km/h so easily.

6. Nice feeling when there are not many preves on the road. People even give me thumbs up when I was on KESAS yesterday.

7. Quite spacious but not as big as Merc E240 (as expected since different segment).

8. Pairing with Xperia Arc very nice... phonebook copied quite fast.

8. Problem....so far only I can hear wind noise from the back (around C pillar) on the left side. This is not happening in the testdrive unit.

Will post pictures later...since having problem with my dropbox.
*
Finally got your car eh? 'grats! At least someone from the Power of One event is getting it.

The new elantra is fugly imo. The Forte looks nicer. So, the most that place can do simultaneously is 4 cars then? Fuh. Slow gila like that.

Bolded part. I think I remember my sister wanted to pair to her car's HU but couldn't...she forget to make her phone discoverable. Distance shouldn't matter that much Gigabit. If still cannot, try making it discoverable, and restart phone, and check if it's on discoverable again. At least I think that's what I did with my sister's phone. I wasn't a samsung though, but it was an android.

The chasis number is not new. It is 1158. but the car was with service center before collection. I asked, did they re-mapped the ECU, the SA doesn't know, bu he said they re-tune the car.

From idle till driving at about 120km/h. The saga 1.3 is very noisy at 120km/h hence the noise level at 71dB (sometimes 72dB).

yep... a few days sweat.gif ..actually it was only yesterday i took the car..1 week at SC due to the door latch lock prob+ one way valve ..the c pillar? at my SC got 7 cars having same problem ..SC already rclxub.gif .. they sent a car to tanjung malim for analysis

edit: door lock took 3days to settle due to the need to order the part.. one way valve i believe will take at most 3 days..fastest would be 2 days

Things/features that I miss from previous car...

1. The quiet engine (actually its unfair to compare)
2. remote power window
3. parktronic
4. ambient internal light
5. remote boot that open completely
6. auto steering adjustment
7. memory seat
8. Electronic seat adjustment
9. a lot and lot of lights
10. 8 speakers, 6 airbags
11. and of course the power of 2.6L V6 engine (unfair to compare)

Things/features that are new compared to the previous car...

1. touchscreen HU
2. Navigator
3. start engine
4. cold air-cond eventhough merc has two blower system
5. easy to get in- out (seriously, this is a nice design by proton where it is easy to get in and get out. You don't have to bend too much and the floor level to the ground level is very convenient.)

overall...not much is missing from my previous car. So, not bad to downgrade at all.

The 1.6 CFE could be a great engine, but we’ll only get to know it better with a proper manual gearbox or a regular torque converter automatic. The latter is unlikely, because a five- or six-speed unit is costly, and Proton has already gone well down the CVT route.

source : http://paultan.org/2012/05/15/driven-proto...-manual-tested/

I agree with Danny Tan on this, i love the combination of Engine+Good Turbo, Handling is superb, but Preve could be better if using regular torque converter or dual clutch.

Remove the unnecessary thing to compensate for the expensive gear box, such as :
- the autorain sensor
- the followme home light
- the auto up/down window
- the changing signal (flick the indicator)
- the remote boot
But it’s just my opinion, transmission is a big factor, but for marketing point of view this gadget is a good value added to user average customer

I have booked this car and will continue to support Preve.

Agree, all this are bells and whistles only, ultimately we want a car that is not sluggish and have good QC because we cannot be spending time sending car to SC to fix problems which should not have come out if the people in Tanjung Malim plant do their job properly!
