abyss 4.2 is only use when u wanna perform FULL WIPE OR FLASH ANYTHING TO UR DEVICE THRU RECOVERY..SINCE CF-KERNEL RECOVERY ON ICS BEEN DEEM AS "UNSAVE"..

try remove and reinstall it back..if still unavailable then try the older version..

no..abyss kernel only for GB..u just can use abyss kernel on ICS when u wanna perform recovery mode to FULL WIPE/FLASHING ROM/MODEM/ANYTHING THRU RECOVERY WHEN USING ICS ROM..BUT NOT AS ICS KERNEL BASE..THATS Y U CAN ONLY USE IT ON RECOVERY...

Of course there is clockworkmod recovery.  It is ver 5.5.0.4

The cwm is more advanced version than 5.0.27

CWM is auto installed with the rom. I am using Cyanogen rom since ver 2 , now on latest build dated 19 May
Don't use Rom manager as is not fully compatible with the G Note

Reflash your rom. And this time flash the latest build dated 19 may. Why you still want to install build 7 which is already classified as outdated? Developer clearly mentioned : Experimental builds - DEPRECATED/OUTDATED
These experimental builds are considered outdated/deprecated. Use nightly builds.

Just wipe all caches will do from the default recovery

How did you installCM9 build 7 in first place? Recommended is from GB build or if moving from another ICS rom, MUST ONLY use Abyss kernel 4.2 to flash it

I forgot you cannot boot to recovery

Try free app : Quick Boot - select Recovery and see whether can boot into recovery

If still cannot, than just reflash the CM9 kernel using Odin In PC

take off the battery and count to 10 sec..20 sec is better..put it back and try on the device..if keep restart/stuck then go to download mode and reflash any GB rom that u got..

u can perform wipe when u successful flash to any GB rom..

do full wipe..wipe data,cache and dalvik..

good to hear that..and piece of advice..if u want to flash any rom/kernel or anything pls be careful..

y dont u do nandroid backup on stock GB and then flash any kind of rom u want..and if u wanna to restore back to GB just use abyss 3.9 and do restore on abyss recovery (if u r using ICS and want to restore to GB),if u from any GB rom and want to restore to stock GB just use CWM RECOVERY..i've do plenty of restore either from ICS to ICS or ICS to GB non give me boot loops..
