They really do look outdated... And they are not cheap.. I rather go ms or wrought iron

if security is the main concern , go for ss , wrought iron easy to cut , i experience that already.

pg84, i think ss is also easy to cut since its hollow, solid steel will be harder to cut. but if burglar target your house cant do much either. grills just act as deterent.
