yeah, Mikel was totally fawsome in that Makelele position. Pretty sure Makelele would be proud of that kind of performance by Mikel. Lampard and Mikel were very cool bossing their area without have to resort any sort of clumsy challenge or blind pass. Drogba, what 9 goals in 9 finals? blimey..this guy deserved a statue.

QUOTE(wintzen @ May 21 2012, 01:27 PM) It's sad to hear Torres drop such a bombshell right after the UCL win. But it's true that we don't buy a 50M striker to be sitting on the bench. But then again, if he had started, the result might be different. I have to agree your opinion on Drogba. I mean, this club needs transition in the end. We can't just depend to ride on our luck and gritty determination. Not even the most ardent Chelsea supporter can argue that luck has no part in our ultimate glory. It's not just about football anymore, it's destiny that being written. My opinion, I think we could let Drogba go. He has won everything now, and it's about time to really make a change and phasing out some of the over 30s. It is sad to do that, but every team need to make a transition. As long as we don't transit like Arsenal, then we will be good enough to challenge for the title. So if Drogba really go...then Torres will step in and in a way the team will shape around him. Remember Shebby was saying that it is the end of an era at the end of that match, in a way I think it is...because Terry/Lamps/Drogs have won everything now...so it might be good for some youngsters to move into the team. However, the games surely becoming harder and harder. There will be more club spending and reinforce their team, such as Man City, Real Madrid & Barca. we definitely need to do our part to which is to restrengthen the team with recruiting some and releasing some. It's a fairytale for all our so called old guards to won this year UCL. That is why script has been written, it's because to let them complete everything in Chelsea shirt and if they were to leave..they will leave while on the very peak. Of course, we going to miss them especially Drogba in this case but we need to move on, we don't want for him to be insulted next season should he not performing (we heard enough at early part of this season). Well unless he opt to stay then it'll be wonderful otherwise I'm ready to let him go. |

QUOTE(yinchet @ May 22 2012, 07:29 AM) I know he on free transfer to Chelsea. i would put Lampard above Zola any day. this lad will finish his career in Chelsea shirt, and probably continue his service in managerial or coaching role in Chelsea as well.he is the king in Bayern at that time. Added on May 22, 2012, 7:33 amIMO, Drogba, Cech, Lampard, Terry is Chelsea legend. Can't imagine Chelsea without them. Anyway the ultimate legend Zola. the closet to zola would be Lampard. |

this is harsh for Liverpool fans, but hopefully they will come back in UCL soon.
QUOTE By the time Liverpool claimed £100,000 in prize money for lifting the Carling Cup in February, Chelsea had already earned a staggering £42m from the Champions League. As Fenway sift through a depressingly shallow list of candidates to replace Dalglish as manager, Chelsea will be preparing to bank a cheque in excess of £50m from the Champions League alone. |

QUOTE(HarimauMuda @ May 24 2012, 11:53 AM) just need 10 more goal. he can do it even if his eyes blind-folded. hahabut, considering Lampard are now play in more defensive role we might have to wait a little longer than usual, but without a shadow of a doubt he will beat the 2nd spot all-time scorer by next season. fereira let him stay, it's hard to gets a foreign player with his loyalty nowadays. plus, i believe his wage was probably less than Kalou or Bosingwa. my spending spree wishlist : 1. Hazard 2. Muniain 3. Alaba that'll be enough i suppose, with De Bruyne, Marin, McEachran, Kakuta, Thibout returns our resource would be sufficient. |

If Roman really considering RDM, why don't just officially announce his appointment right after the celebrations? i had a hunch that they still negotiating with someone. probably after Euro they'll decide. same goes to new player, most prob after Euro as well.
