Like I said there's no break in period needed on these new technology engines and not specified in the owners manul. Some are calling for hard driving as break period. I need to digest this carefully before commenting. This is not recommended by the manufacture.

No.2 on your multifunction display is fuel consumption. Litres/100KM. The xx will soon indicate a number. The computer calculates and indicate the figure based on your driving.
Will tell you 1. & 3. after I've got my car.

ok,tq for your info.

I think all are busy enjoying their ride now.

I would like to ask, how do we raise the wiper so that it won't be in contact with the windscreen? It seems that the hood is blocking the wiper if we don't want the wiper to be in contact with the windscreen.

Please also share your fuel consumption. Mine indicate 9.2 km/l, 50% town, 50 highway.
*
Yes quite busy. smile.gif
last weekend, i go back to my home town,Terengganu. So, got 7.2l/100km for highway.for town will try to get this week.

Lucky the SA was kind enough to contact the Service Center Manager to have someone to look at it at 3pm today and the they have temporary fix it....means sometimes the temperature will display negative vales which i will get hot air or -- i will get cold air....

She meantion to drive in to SC on monday to look at it....should be quite fast to fix it....will update u guys on it....so do check ur temperature if its ok when u collect the car cause i suspect the temperature will mess up the climate control for the air conds

Assuming one did this exactly at 2500km,the next service is 7500km away not 10000km away!

That's the speed I'll be doing too, beyond this speed my wife starts wayang kulit.....hehehe! But the car just wants to go and it so difficult to keep it at this speed. I've not done long distance trip yet. I think after the 1st service FC will improve further.

Btw, my meter already 1100++km.i think i will the first to service the car, i mean the inspection of 2500km. smile.gif

QUOTE(kejusan @ Jul 2 2012, 11:04 PM)
Went back to my hometown in JB during the weekend with my new 408NA. Since I'm quite worried with the break-in period, I keep the RPM below 3k and speed below 100km/h throughout my journey. Every half an hour, I will slow down to 70 - 90 km/h, so not to stress the engine under constant speed for too long. FYI, the mileage before I start the journey was 100++. No findings were made during the journey to JB, just that I noticed that there's a slight pull to the right on the steering wheel.

When heading back to KL, the mileage was already close to 700. Still drove it as in break-in period. Best mileage observed when driving this way is 6.9 liter/100km. When reached 1000km, I raise the speed to 110-120km/hr and able to set cruising speed at 120km/hr on most of the journey onwards until I reached KL. Best mileage observed is 7.2 liter/100km. Observed that there's audible rattling sound came from under the dashboard and the wind sound is noticeable on the front passenger's window. No floaty feeling but the slight pull to the right is still noticeable. Can I report these findings during my 2500km inspection?

Also, I noticed that in the morning, there's a slow 'knocking' sound under the engine hood. This sound is not audible in the cabin but can be heard from outside the cabin. Is this normal??

Now my mileage is close to 1200km. Will call for appointment with the SC tomorrow for the 2500km inspection  rclxms.gif

Kejusan, like myself also like that.otw to terengganu my speed below 100km/h, always slow down and stop for refreshing myself. After the meter already 700++ then i put more speed. The highest for now around 150km/h but just for 2-3 second. Scared because of the road quite bumpy.
Do we need to book for inspection after reaching 1200++km? because my SA told me after reaching 2000 only call him to book the inspection. biggrin.gif

don't believe your salesman or saleswoman. if you reach 2,000km, i can assure you, you are close to breaching your service schedule and burning your warranty because you sent it in too late. like i said earlier, when about 1,000km to your schedule, make your appointment, nasim does not really take in walk-in already due to the high number of peugeot owners. if you want to walk-in, you can try dealers like volcare or geotauto. but they too are having higher number of customers already. otherwise, better make appointment early. don't burn your warranty simply. peugeot is super strict with this and when u later on claim for warranty, they will check your service book. your records go to france for checking before it is approved so it is very serious. please don't burn it.

Ok, tq bro for your advise. Will call my SA today. Mine is salesman. smile.gif

Btw just to update my car situation is really going from bad to worst.....what i thought was a simple problem turns out to be a big 1.........the service center is no doubt really bad i really have to admit....even worst then perodua service center in terms of attending to customer and solving it....

Yesterday my car have been sitting in the SC for 1 whole day without anything checked. Today after calling and calling and calling and pushing them only they just replaced the temperature sensor and they told me the problem is still there.....i am starting to doubt if they do really check ur car at 2500km since its just an inspection.......

I have to say i am really dissapointed with peugeot since its my first non local car and its giving me so much headache and inconvinience moreover their snail pace respond.
My advice is do please check properly when you collect your car or even your facing any problem as small as temperature sensor do ask them to fix it

Can you share which SC you go, if cannot openly, pm me for reference.
Very sad to here all this happen to you.

Btw just got back from collecting my car.......after much preassure from my SA and my self finally get to resolved it......after replacing it they still need to make some setting adjustment before its working back again.......it took them max 2-3 hours and my car was there for like 2 days including today.......

Puchong Service center smile.gif but serious need to really check properly when collect the car....if not it takes ages just to resolve a small issue....

Any of you guys been to glenmarrie SC any feedback? Might plan to send there for 10k km service

1 question, if happen that we need to leave our car in SC, do they give temp car for us to use? Because my friend honda accord, they give temp car while he's car in SC. smile.gif

Yea i agree too someone from the top management have to really look into this problem seriously.........

Last night as i was driving my car and take a left turning at the traffic light there is some squicking sound so i wasnt sure if its the car or something external....so i just let it be......this morning my gf is heard the same sound when making a left turn and its seriously bothering me........The car is only 1 week old and its just back from fixing 1 problem and another problem comes up....

I have never face this in my years driving local cars. Even my Myvi after a few years only problems will surface.....
*
I did not realize my cornering is it have sound or not. Maybe you can try again when have opportunity and if the sound still there, no choice have to go to SC to report this thing.

Managed to get 10.9 l/100km for best FC on 2nd fill up. BTW, I fill up RM50 and the mileage is 240+km. 90% town, 10% highway.

Tried the speed limiter, works absolutely fine.

Thinking of putting in the coil mat, any recommendation??

Ok, apparently you can set service appointment by calling their sales office as well and right away I could get appointment on Saturday.

Anyway, I forward this problem to my SA and he said that Glenmarie SC received a lot of problematic cars coming in and diverting future appointment to PJ to avoid congestion in Glenmarie. I think Peugeot owners in Klang Valley could try Seremban SC since I've easily secure an appointment during the weekend. Not sure if others has bad experience with Seremban SC before.
*
My SA also said the same thing. divert to Geot Auto in PJ.
He said can go walk in but have to go as early as 8.30 already there.
Not sure true or wrong?
