lousy bank... lousy customer service !!!!

i used this card for few months already, and recently i requested them to replace a new card for me, because the old one not working... and the CS told me that they already block my card... listen... BLOCKED my card !!!

few days later, and i found out that my auto recurring transaction still go thru !!! the merchant is holding my OLD credit card number to perform the auto recurring transaction, and it still go thru !! so which means my OLD credit card number is still valid in some sense, ok, fine, maybe OCBC allow this for the ease of customer, so the valued customer do not need to go to merchant to change card number when card loss etc etc...

well, i already feel not safe with this bank, since i have another credit card, so i decided to cancel OCBC card, i called to them, and this CS told me that i must go to ALL the merchant to change my credit card info for the auto debit first, before cancel this OCBC card.... you must be curious why he advice me to do that first....
let's see below....

the CS told me, EVEN IF I CANCEL THE CARD, THE AUTO RECURRING TRANSACTION WILL STILL GO THRU !!!!! WTF !!! what's logic is that??? i already cancelled the card -> no credit limit, why the auto recurring transaction will still go thru !! i asked the CS few times, and he confirmed with me few times, the transaction will still go thru....

but i really doubt on that, so i called another CS and asked the same question, and he still give me the same answer.... i really don't understand.... is their CS is not professional or this is the bug of the system in OCBC?

nevertheless, i already lost confident with this bank, so i cancelled the card, and let's see the auto recurring transaction will still go thru or not ....

not exactly true.

I once had a citibank credit card, and my ING insurance has auto debt with it, been working fine all the while, no problem.
And i cancelled the card, then the ING couldn't get money from it, the policy almost ceased after few failed attempts  tongue.gif

yes, CARD CANCELLATION and CARD LOST is totally different..... citibank practise the correct way, i think... because once i cancel your card, which means i have no credit limit already, why the transaction still go thru.... this is not making sense...

OCBC practice both CARD CANCELLATION and CART LOST the same way, which i get quite shocked, because all the time i am using foreign bank, and everything was fine...... until this local OCBC bank...
