I have 2 cards in hand. I see no reason they rejected me doh.gif
ANd yes, please I want the card tongue.gif

Now I know why I got rejected already.
They (OCBC fellow) are rejecting your application if your first card / credit limit is way below their requirement.

Eg :  if your first card is 5k credit limit. Take the 5k divide by 3 (making assumption that the credit limit is 3 times your salary) and you will have there about 1.5k. And 1.5k x 12 = RM 18k per annum, definitely REJECT

And I find it stupid. First card in life, and fresh graduate, expect to have 20k credit limit ? sleep.gif

Anyway, that's how they evaluate and how they approve your card.
And CCRIS even clean also won't help anything. Even you provide 3 months pay slip also they won't evaluate you using the payslip. That's what I had been told tho. They will still refer back to your credit limit per card !
*
this is abit unfair calculation isnt it? my first card is like a million years ago and the limit is low. granted its above the 20k require by your calculation but still, not really make sense for them to calculate like this.

That's what I heard from one of the sales manager that called me up just now.
And I applied it online. He said usually is like this. Referring back to your credit card limit.
Precisely !

I apply it online also. My contact is a guy call Ng.

Now I understand y u all say OCBC should improve their internet banking. Their website is like made by a fresh grad like tht. Horrible. Interface quality is like its year 1999. Menu all show things that I don't have. Why don't they just hide those menu that is not relevant to me. After I click submit to pay my streamyx, no OTP was sent to my phone and it say successful. Aiyo.

In comparison Citibank & CIMB website is much nicer with clean interface, each transaction need a code. I so no confident using the OCBC internet banking system.

i've been looking around in their internet banking website. i don't see anyway that keeps track of the cash back given for so far or like a break down of cash back base on purchase. so i have to manually keep track of it?

Just to share regarding the rejected application. When I was younger, (noob years) my first CC application was first rejected. Had a friend in there that help me kao tim it. Anyway, the reason for rejection is because every month I'm late on my car loan payment by 1-2 days on every month. However, I never miss any monthly payment. Because of this alone, my application was rejected.

And from my 2 or 3 experiences earlier this year in attempting to obtain clarification on their banking products and services, they don't respond AT ALL to the enquiry/feedback form on their website. When I finally went to the branch to enquire, the officer attending to me brushed it off as a responsibility of the HQ. mad.gif

OCBC Card is one of the best Credit Cards that I have used to date. Because of OCBC, i said good bye to Citibank, CIMB and going to say Goodbye to Public Bank.  Still keeping RHB cos they have the instalment free for Hospital. Else, also going to cancel.
*
Citibank good for shopping and movies, alot of discount. Thats the only reason i keep it.

Ask you and HB / Wife to get one OCBC Card each. Total combined rebates a month will be RM100.

One card will be used for the 5% rebates such as Petrol, Restaurants, Hypermarket. Easily can hit RM600 a month

Another Card for the 1% rebate, Insurance Payments, Utility Bills, etc - easily can also hit RM50 savings for Middle Income

Thats what I do.
*
FYI, Bills are under 5% for OCBC

And for 1% to achieve RM50 need to spend RM5,000...
