Doesn't matter who fork out the money. New applicants are only interested in whether they need to pay GST or not.

It actually matters. Else everyone will ask why they apply but did not receive RM50 rebate.

If it is a norm for agents to pay the GST for new applicant (althought it is not for this case as confirmed by then_then), does it really matter who pays? Your only interest is whether do you need to pay the GST or not.

I am not talking about who pays or anything. I am talking about giving the correct info. This is the different between you and most seniors here. My interest is for new applicants to have the correct info, but your interest is only about yourself  wink.gif

You asked whether the RM50 offer is still on or not, and as pointed out by then_then, it only applies to a specific case.

You yourself said it actually matters who pays the GST in the previous post. rclxub.gif Then_then just confirmed that it is still applicable till end of this year and I didn't dispute that. You focus on who pays the GST which is not the interest of new applicants. New applicants are only interested whether do they need to pay GST or not and how to achieve it (which is pointed out by then_then). Please do not accuse people for no apparent reason. mad.gif

I said it matters because a bank will never pay GST on a customer's behalf. You are implying that banks will do that. And you stated, 'new applicant' but that is half true because it is only for a specific application type. What happen if a new user just come across your post and think he or she should get the offset too?

No idea how you interpret my post. rclxub.gif I did not imply or hint in anyway that the banks will pay the GST. New applicant would refer to then_then's post and not my because I never confirmed that they are eligible for the RM 50 cash incentive for GST. I said 'new applicants' are interested in whether they need to pay the GST or not. I didn't commit that they will receive the RM 50 cash incenstive for GST. Kindly re-read my post.
