QUOTE(yhtan @ Nov 22 2012, 11:21 AM) I applied few months ago, as my housemate working in OCBC, the application was rejected and the reason given was "i'm too clean". Mainly because i don't have car loan, housing loan under CCRIS The correct way to say is you don't have credit history. So they don't know how reliable your are on payments |

This is so weird. I need you guys insight into this. Because OCBC doesn't list down specifically which is 5% and 1%, so I have done it below on what i "think" belongs to 5% and 1%

QUOTE(ronnie @ Dec 12 2012, 01:38 PM) A friendly call to CS will give you the exact answer as they can check what is the MCC code assigned and relevant rebates. Thanks. I just did just that and to my surprise they told me that my NVA bills are under 5% cashback. So TS can put down Nirvana Memorial payment as 5% at first page. I thought this will fall under 1%Also for my "DBKL-BDR TUN RAZAK KUALA LUMPUR", this is 1% and not 5% as I expected... |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Dec 15 2012, 12:32 AM) You are welcome and good luck! Go to Mydin la.. they accept TnG reload using AmexThis card is difficult to get though but worth all the sweat and pain. Anyway, managed to reload RM 200 from TnG Hub, now they have a small little express counter that deals with reload. It accepts both cash and CC. Too bad no AmEx. Only MasterCard and VISA. Well, RM 2.00 is better than nothing. |

I don't have any loans except study loans and no bad records with my HSBC credit card for the past 6 years since I started working. One need to earn more than 100k a year is it? QUOTE(antih2o @ Jan 4 2013, 10:11 PM) lousy bank... lousy customer service !!!! This is why i dont believe in auto billing in general. Its a very f***ed up system actually. I just canceled my auto billing with Citibank this morning because I was unsatisfied with it. So i think its not just limited to OCBC.i used this card for few months already, and recently i requested them to replace a new card for me, because the old one not working... and the CS told me that they already block my card... listen... BLOCKED my card !!! few days later, and i found out that my auto recurring transaction still go thru !!! the merchant is holding my OLD credit card number to perform the auto recurring transaction, and it still go thru !! so which means my OLD credit card number is still valid in some sense, ok, fine, maybe OCBC allow this for the ease of customer, so the valued customer do not need to go to merchant to change card number when card loss etc etc... well, i already feel not safe with this bank, since i have another credit card, so i decided to cancel OCBC card, i called to them, and this CS told me that i must go to ALL the merchant to change my credit card info for the auto debit first, before cancel this OCBC card.... you must be curious why he advice me to do that first.... let's see below.... the CS told me, EVEN IF I CANCEL THE CARD, THE AUTO RECURRING TRANSACTION WILL STILL GO THRU !!!!! WTF !!! what's logic is that??? i already cancelled the card -> no credit limit, why the auto recurring transaction will still go thru !! i asked the CS few times, and he confirmed with me few times, the transaction will still go thru.... but i really doubt on that, so i called another CS and asked the same question, and he still give me the same answer.... i really don't understand.... is their CS is not professional or this is the bug of the system in OCBC? nevertheless, i already lost confident with this bank, so i cancelled the card, and let's see the auto recurring transaction will still go thru or not .... On another hand there are things I have no choice but to put on auto billed, like insurance and other larger payments. And when i made the switch from one auto bill to another cc, the whole process takes at least a few months. And I had to make really sure they stop charging my previous card before i proceed to cancel the card. Sometimes you cannot just assume everything goes as expected. Always check you online statement to make sure... Double confirm your SI cancellation from all party. The CC user have to take some due diligence on his part to protect himself... |

QUOTE(kenlui @ Jan 19 2013, 08:16 AM) Just got my rejection letter. Took abt a week for them to reject my application. Probably because I dont have any loans with any banks. Gonna give the agent another chance, if it fails again that's it. Rejecting my application because I dont have a loan is riddiculous. Not having a loan doesnt mean I cant settle my monthly bills on time. welcome to the real world... |
