i was in JB when i had the same problem at petrol station.. i was told by d pump attendant that usually cardholders with OCBC card have this problem..

the attendant said its due to the design of our CC card.. the curvy part.. but the station was quite old, so maybe its an old card machine problem..
*
For sure not due to the curvy part as we insert the straight side first to the reader.

Interested with this TM Autopay service. Let's say I enrol my OCBC Ti with my streamyx account of RM50 monthly, and on certain occasion I pay RM10 to the streamyx using other cards. So the autopay for the next statement will be RM40 only?

Currently my Streamyx bill is on auto-debit instruction, tied to my OCBC TMC. And I am getting RM2 rebate every month. Assume I make some advance payment through OCBC online to take advantage of the 5%+5% offer, will i still get the RM2 rebate from TM ?
*
Hold on a sec, what is this 5% + 5% offer? I know 5% rebate under utility, but the extra 5% is from?

QUOTE(ronnie @ Jul 22 2012, 06:09 PM)
I paid my TM bill 3 days before the Autopay kicked in and TM still charged the Invoice Amount due.
TM Autopay kicks in on different dates... no fixed pattern found so far.... at least 4 days after TM Invoice Date.
*
Why do you need to pay your TM bills 3 days before when you already enrol under autopay? I thought you dont have to pay anything on your own anymore since TM will charge your card automatically?

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Jul 22 2012, 07:14 PM)
So it means if i make an advance payment to TM now, say i pay TM RM300 through OCBC online, they will still bill me only RM138 every month right ? I'm subscribed to the Streamyx 4Mbps package which is RM140/month but i get RM2 rebate from TM every month.
I am curious to know about this advance payment too. The reason is, I may want to pay my streamyx bill partially using citibank or SCB (when they have their bill promos). So If I already enrol using OCBC Ti, what will happen here since:

QUOTE
TM shall present my/our telephone bills/billing records to the Card Company/Bank for payment on the periodical basis. This period[s] shall be agreed upon between TM and the Card Company/Bank.

For more information, you can refer to THIS. It is 5%+5%+5% actually. Do refer to the T&C.
I always thought it applies to phone bills only since it states excluding unifi. No mention of streamyx though. Will be cool then, since I am paying my steamyx using ocbc online now anyway biggrin.gif

just wondering, my CC is due for July bill (not late, must be paid by next month).. as long as I pay before the stated date, this wont affect my credit record right? because technically i still 'pay on time' ??
*
yes, pay before the stated due date. give a couple of days for it to clear if you paying using IBG or cheque, just to be safe.

After reading alexis2power comment, I wonder if I apply OCBC Titanium card will my application get rejected as well?
I'm working in Singapore right now and I am thinking to get my 1st every CC in Malaysia. So after some survey, I decided to go for OCBC, UOB and Maybank Amex. But I am still quite unsure if my application will be successful because I am earning SGD as well and I started working coming to 2 years?? Any advice or suggestion for me?
Thanks.

actually what you can do is to try to submit your application first. attaching complete income + supporting documents will surely be good. never try, never know wink.gif

One question, what will happen if I overpaid RM50? Actually, I paid my bills according to my July month statement and didn't realize OCBC already bank in RM50 rebate. The RM50 I think because I apply through agent at The Curve OCBC kiosk.

The outstanding amount suppose not RM50 because I have spent more after the date of my statement. Is OCBC definition of 'outstanding' is different from other bank? icon_question.gif

Over there got state (overpaid) mah, so next month can pay RM50 less wink.gif

My statement date is on the 12th, I did swipe petrol on the 12th (last night) and it didn't show up in my online statement. Shouldn't it be included in my July/August statement as well?
*
My statement date is same as yours. From my record, there were instances where transactions done on the 12th appeared on the month itself (last day), and thus need to be paid for that month.

Added on August 13, 2012, 7:34 pmThere was even one time, i did 4 transactions on the 12th, 2 appeared for that month, another 2 for the next month biggrin.gif

Will take note of this. I presume Amex is not accepted?
