update : just found it come with 0 ICS wallpaper or theme. i want blue batt bar, and ICS wallpaper. so boring.

Will our existing apps become compatible with ICS automatically after the update? My phone don't have a data plan or wifi on during the update with kies.

FYI, ICS is running the processor as MAX performance and power saving is off initially, so to improve the battery life just on the power saving... but after on power saving, UI will have noticeable lag and processor less run at full 1200Mhz

u can use titanium backup..
contact may sync by google account...or u can go to contack press to option button and select export to external sd..

It is ok. Your contacts will still be intact. If you're worried, you can use MyBackup (it's a trial version but you don't need root to use it) or Titanium Backup (need root). Though it is easier to just use Odin to flash (and sometimes safer)

Yes, most if not all are compatible. Shouldn't need connection while updating. (Need connection to download the update though).

boss..i am upgrading this phone to official Malaysia firmware..So,how to root the S2(G)? i am trying using superoneclick but failed...because 2.0 version...what kernel+cwm i may use?

can i know where to download mybackup? and if i update via phone is it will facing the problem stuck at s2 screen like the other forummer?

Ehhh I can't even connect my phone to KIES usb. After clicking trouble shoot, then drivers started installing then shows a whole list of bluetooth drivers not installed. Then failed. Wtf?

contact can sync with your google account..so easy..no need any software..

Do backup first before proceeding. Can try to use wondershare's mobilgo to backup your stuff before you try using kies

Try cm9. That's big interface difference.

How is CM9? Browser is hardware accelerated?smooth as stock rom?
