That one is ACTUALLY for the last gen Evo aka the Lancer Cedia platform. Roofline shape asso different, vertical slope of the C-pillar / rear screen is more severe on the LC platform.

There are no updated docs for the X / Galant Fortis / Lancer '08 platform regarding the use of VGs, but a quick look at the wind tunnel simulations for the GF platform clearly shows better airflow past the C-pillar.

Thus, adding a VG might simply add drag as the spoiler wing (especially the Evo X's "twisted flow" spoiler) has been designed to work with the new roofline.

Not sure if ADDING smaller vortexes thru the use of a VG on a non Evo X spoiler equipped GF platform car is gonna be useful, except maybe to clear rain.

All this based on the papers provided by Mitsu, of course, so it might just be mumbo jumbo. Unless somebody has access to a wind tunnel and can curik a few hours for me to do tests, we'll never know for sure.

Ehem bro, the doc you linked (dated 2004) is for the Pre-2007 Lancer platform (Gen 8, 7?).

Ours (and the one in the docs I'm reading) is the Post-2007 platform (Gen 9).

I'm talking entire generation differences here. The entire roof (ok the entire car) design is different.

It's like the Wira/Evo 1-3 (Gen 6) vs the Lancer Cedia/Evo 4-9 (Gen 7-8, not really much diff so I just combine the 2 gens here) vs the Sharknose Lancer/Evo X (Gen 9); there's a clear difference right?

This is not considering the Evo vs non Evo diff - which according to the docs, no real difference pun (at least for the Gen 9).

Just had a funny conversation with one of Lipis' Inspira owners (a senior teacher), pitying those who paid more for the "same thing" (got a few Lancer drivers in Lipis asso lol).

Seems that "Smart Guys Save More" is a universally accepted idea.

Overfilled here asso. Which is strange as they used 4l of Synt 1000 and 500ml of oil additive. Shoulda been just enuff.

Regarding that, we need to design something inconspicuous, a small logo that only we can recognise OR something that everyone uses, but positioned in a particular way.

A secret handshake, if you will, that won't attract too much undue attention.

That's why I propose the secret handshake inconspicuous logo sticker thing.

Unless you can memorize number plates or car features - I can only remember Meetoo's car, K3's car, Jack's car, Aminmh's car, Potatoes' rims (just the rims lol) and Rublik's car. I'd say mine is as easy to remember. Some of the other, particularly stock (or fully lancer converted) cars, not so much.

It sounds like a sheety secret society thing but heck, if we dun want to attract attention so much, why not.

@darkcroation: There's basically 2 schools of thought about revving your car (if that's what you mean by rav). Some say (manual asso say) first 1000 gotta jaga the engine, dun rev over 3k.

Some say revlar like crazy pun, it doesn't matter.

There's truth in both approaches. Myself I take middle line, rev like hell when I need to, if not take it easy lah.
