That app is a battery hogger, it also stated on Android Police.
*
it's did not happen here.. no battery issue on amazon appstore.
but recently I encounter the proxy issue on Amazon Appstore. other application or PLAY are fine with the proxy I set but Amazon Appstore latest version seem like already block it.... anyone with latest version and still work?

Amazon Appstore as in the app on your phone ? or the Appstore on the web ?

I'm using the latest phone AA and its working fine. Just downloaded a free app and updated 2 apps to confirm. But I've only use proxy during the setting up of AA. Once set up properly, i never use any kind of proxy anymore and it just works.

If you are referring to the web AA, then no idea .. sorry ..
*
I'm referring to AA apss, not the web. I already setup my account long time since AA apps release. I did have couple of PAID apss in my account that I collect from daily free offer. 1st is angry bird (no adv) as I remember.

I still can browse the AA apps without proxy on. whenever I want to download the free apps, AA is validate the IP. this is implement after couple of AA version updated. not implement during 1st launch. somehow, the app already download before, it's still allow for downloaded app update without proxy.

I'm using AA version 2.4.0. are you using older version? can you share? hmm.gif hmm.gif

New Nexus user reporting in!

root and unlocked bootloader after 6 hours of buying.

initial plan is to try to use it for a week and then only flash.

but the stock rom is 4.0.4. cant stand. so, flashed!

now using aopk milestone 5 and franco kernel build 158 512mhz. planning to flash to 384mhz. wanna see how much battery life will improve.

just asking, which gps app is best?
*
casual navigate use google maps; serious navigate use sygic

google map need to online right?

hope it is not a dump question. just moved from n82. don't know the tech now a days...haha...

update:

searched for google map, but the play store says not compatible?

need to change the dpi ar?
*
yes, you need internet while navigate. if you want offline gps, again, sygic works best for me.
if you want to get google maps from PLAY, just use the market enabler set to US. but bear in mind, the official google maps did not offer google navigation. if you want navigation function, google ownhere version apk. it's unlock the navigation for all country.

*
TB is the best of the best. appmonster is my second backup.

ah...

i get it...

ok, i wil give it a try...

another thing, i wanted to get rid of the google search bar at the home screen.

tried the method in this:

http://www.androidauthority.com/how-to-rem...mescreen-39217/

but not working...

rom is aokp milestone 5 and franco 161 384hmz, nova launcher 1.1.3 if that is relevant...

any idea how?
*
3rd party launcher should give what you want. nova or apex launcher can remove google search bar.

not sure is any latest custom rom had complete the wifi direct function. as I remember, stock only have wifi direct on and off only but without any configure option. now I'm using miui and surprise, it's include the configure now. just tested, work fine without any 3rd app like s2.
