Use SD Maid to delete those junk files that are still intact with the phone memory even you had removed the app associated with those junk files.

For Clockworkmod, those files in the folder should be your backup files (nandroid). If you are no longer needed the old backups, you can free up the memory by removing the older ones.

FYI,

This is vibration mode, no ringtones & notification sound but it still vibrates when there is event triggered the phone

BTW, what ROM are you using?

Try remove all the Google account that currently associated with the phone, and retry login again.

Your sound settings is different from mine. I am using AOKP ROM and there is no such menu under vibration option.

Ok, when you are pressing the volume down button. Did you came across this "vibrate" menu?


This is the setting where no ringtones but only vibration as you mention to achieve...

To answer your 2nd question, Android doesn't NEEDS a task killer. RAM and internal memory is two different thing. RAM that not been used is a wasted resource. So no harm done, if you saw the memory is above 700MB. it's just the way Android works. Unlike other platforms you need to free up the RAM for next application execution.

And lastly, not everyone here are using the same ROM or settings as you. Some of us might have been using STOCK ROM and some of us not. So bear with us as we are trying to improving this Nexus thread.
If there is no solution, maybe head up to the 1st page to lurk for solution or try google it first.

Google Maps/Navigation perhaps? it serves me well.

Tested and compared S3 myself. What I liked about S3 is the Samsung's new innovative functions by using gestures, eye tracking stuffs, and suchs. Frankly to say, GNex has almost the same piece of hardware from S3 except the processor and GPU. Other than that, GNex is a great phone for daily usage.

One thing that people misunderstand is the processing power. Indeed, 4 cores are better than 2 cores or less. But end user wouldn't even notice the significant speed in terms of processing. For example, how many of S2 end user with non-G and G version, do they even know if there is both different processor in the 1st place? People will only have this perception, yes S2 is a slim and great phone with great processors and GPU in the market. Ask again, do they know well about the phone like the power users? No?

For GNex, I would recommended if you liked Vanilla, stock Android which doesn't have bloated apps/wares.
Go for S3, if you liked the new functions and doesn't care much about the Android OTA updates. As it will take longer time for updates from OEMs. You still get enjoyed ICS Android on both phones but the question is will you patience enough to wait for the official updates?
