Just look at Nintendo, announced Wii U last E3, but still haven't release yet. Signs point to late 2012 release, but we know 3DS did not have simultaneous international release, so Wii U release may be late 2012 for Japan, early 2013. So for Sony and Microsoft, same may happen again.
