will all my photos or messages get wiped off if i were to update the official ICS from Germany?i using all internal memory. Not using any SD card

hey uncle benny,i was told that updating to this Official ICS Stock Rom will wipe all my photos,videos and messages away.Any way to back it up?
*btw my note is still virgin,not rooted"
