To be super safe, don't flash any ROM. Use stock ROM tongue.gif
If you want to root, you can flash the pre-rooted GB LC2 ROM via PC Odin and after that flash in CF-Root LC1 to get your CWM Recovery function.
That by far is the safest kernel and safest root. No users had complain of bricking before if the steps are done correctly.

As for the LPY kernel, it was the kernel released by Samsung for the ICS German ROM and there is 1 user in XDA who got his GNote bricked after flashing the kernel via CWM Recovery from CM9 ROM.
That's the only person till date.

As for what is LPY stands for? rclxub.gif it's just some characters abbreviations defined by Samsung during the release of any kernels. In the past there were LP1, LP5, LP6 (ICS Kernels) and there were LC1, LC2 (GB Kernels).

Are you saying that follow the Installation guide of rooting + CMW from page 1 is the safest 1??

May i know step 6 indicated download tis pre-rooted GB LC2 ROM?? izzit a custom rom or wat?

If my build number is UBKK2 do i nid to downgrade to kk1?

No yellow triangle
After root n cwm installed just boot to recovery mode
Wipe data n all caches
Select zip file to flash
Procedure same as flashing stunner rom

Your facts are a little off. AP sets are around 400-500 cheaper.

I don't see why not. Spend that 400-500 on accessories. rclxms.gif

pre-rooted means the developers already inject in the root capabilities on the stock ROM itself, hence pre-rooted stock ROM.
Rooted is just a term to call your devices being successfully rooted.
If you don't flash a pre-rooted ROM, you will have to flash in the CF-Root kernel to enable rooting capabilities, hence rooted.
