I have Paypal (Malaysia) account and I can tie it to my (Singapore) GamerTag and purchased Xbox Live Gold promo on the dashboard without any problem.

I have a paypal account with zero credit and put my maybank debit card as the source. For like a few months I successfully purchased that Xbox Live Gold promo on the dashboard without any problem. But 3 days ago my Gold expired and stumbled upon another $1 Gold promo on dashboard. I tried to purchase it but this time failed. The error was something like "got issues with my account. visit blabla.."

so I tried all the option stated above and still failed. There is an option left for me to try though

1) Get a RHB debit card, go RHB online and top up paypal so the payment source will be directly from paypal account. Only RHB is currently paypal's friend.

I got another question too needed to ask since I am noob. My console is SG, except in-dash purchase, where can I buy MS points? Do MS points got region lock or something?

Did phone up Microsoft singapore to stop your gold renewal? It seems like your paypal/credit card was ban/disabled by ms sg. You need to call them up to reactivate it (i m not sure how much they will charge you).

All MS points are region locked to Asia, Japan, Aus, UK, EU, N. America gamertag. It doesnt matter what console you are on. SG gamertag, you could reload using SG, HK, Taiwan prepaid points. HK and taiwan MS points exchange rate are the lowest for Asia.

1) No, I never called them to stop the Gold Renewal. I cancelled renewal via xboxlive acc. Banned/disabled? but why? I need clarification on these. Banned and disabled are scary words laugh.gif I feel like I broke the law or something tongue.gif

2) Thanks for the info bro. I really appreciate it rclxms.gif

However, last night I made an US xbla acc and for the first time seeing so many stuff on the dashboard. So the question started to come back tongue.gif. Are those Netflix, Hulu etc. are available here in Malaysia even if we have an US acc?

1. It stated in when purchasing gold on dashboard, that you need to call MS support to cancel it. Currently Sg gamertag is disable from any dashboard purchase until your are "verified".

XBL support SG (+65) 66221626

2. most US IPTV dont work. They are region lock.

Modified console is tainted and not worth to recover. Just buy a new console, it cost you RM699 for a console & 1 controller. You can continue to use your other gadgets but make sure your Harddisk is XBOX360 enabled else you need to hack it or buy a new one as modified console can use a standard HDD but ori XBOX360 using a harddisk with security sector only,

The answer is an obvious yes as you cannot fully cover up your trace to XBL thru unmodding the console. That's the prime reason I think it's not worth to recover.
