Dear all Electronics Enthusiasts rclxms.gif
I m not qualified for this category coz I m total blurr in electronics....but i need advice from you expert out there and I hope you can help me thumbup.gif

I m thinking of getting an electrical appliance from US which states 110v.
In order for me to use in Msia with 220v, I need to get a transformer rite?
My questions :-

1. If i use this item with transformer for long term, will it affect the performance? In other word, will the item (the appliance) become not long lasting?
2. What kind of transformer to get if the item is 575 watt? Is there a difference voltage of transformer to get?
3. Any particular brand that you experts out there can recommend?
4. PPl tell me that with higher wattage, the transformer has to be 'stronger' and higher risk of the electrical appliance get 'burnt'. Is it true?

All and all, can you advise me whether is advisable to get the item from US with 110v? (price is a factor as it is 3 or close to 4 times cheaper ;-)

thanks so much and appreciate your advise soon....thanks!

Refer to my comment in bold. And take note these.

1) Mains voltage and 2) Mains frequency.

What is the recommended operating voltage and the tolerance (e.g. 110V +/-10% 50Hz) as indicated in the user manual or printed on appliance? If you can provide more details (specs and what appliance) then we may provide more accurate assistance to you.

Hi Rad200, I don't hv the full specs but it's running (correct phrase?) at 110v and 575 watt. It's a electrical mixer. Can you provide me some of the brands for transformer? As I have no idea where and what to look out for and also to purchase... rclxub.gif
