Can bump one meh?

How much is the cheapest digital multimeter sold at Jalan Pasar shops? I bought the DT-830D in Kuantan for RM15 last time. Now see Carrefour sells it for RM60. Now thinking of buying a cheap digital multimeter because my probe wires are broken. And sometimes I want to measure voltage and current at the same time.

My DT-830D is really accurate for the 20 volt range. I tested it in the lab of my university. All digits correct.

Dead accurate, perfect for my work since my last multimeter exploded violently (I wasn't even mine tongue.gif), plus besides being great for my usual work. It just owns when it comes to comp geekdom, comes with a thermocouple, easy grip probes and a non slip case. Knowing my carelessness, i think the investment was well worth it (Got it for 5 days and blew up the 1000V fuse tongue.gif)

thumbup.gif nice item u got there smile.gif will go to jln pasar next week to search for this model and see what it is priced at ^^ laugh.gif and going to get some new hobby kits too !

QUOTE(lamir_loco @ Mar 13 2006, 10:17 AM)
hi guys just find this post today, not many local forum talk about electronics (this is the first local forum for me)

currently i bought electronic component from jln pasar area, but sometimes component not available. especially the exotic component. so often go back home with empty hand and less petrol in car tank.

just wondering, any local company sell their electronic component online. I cant seems to find any, RS and Farnell only provide online catalogs but you to go to their warehouse to purchased their product.

any ideas,?

hi, browsed through a thread and finally got an idea where to get the components from.

but one thing is that i'm not familiar wif KL,
can someone provide more details on where is the so called Jalan Pasar?
or even better, the exact address...
thanks
*
ermmmmm how to say ermmm.....
1) use google earth biggrin.gif
2) take star LRT, drop at PUDU station. Gets out from the station, go straight until you reach the main road(100 meters away from the station). Turn left and go straight again. You will be walking along the main road (passes a crossroad with traffic light) Do not make any left or right turn along the way, even at the crossroad. You will eventually gets to the place so called Jalan Pasar. You will know tht you are there when you see those electronics shops :)lot of em.

whistling.gif hope this helps but I am really weak in giving directions...sorry ya rolleyes.gif

I am planning to installed automatic light and fan in my bath room.

Anybody know where to get those motion sensor switch that can turn on the fan and light when somebody enter the bath room and turn it off after few minute after the person get out from the room.
*
ermmm......how bout installing a sensor at your door? smile.gif lit the room when the person opens the door ? smile.gif then u link the cords of light and fan together smile.gif
Both will be on when a person OPENs the door . This would be the cheapest way to do it ...but its more to semi-auto anyway

smile.gif to get it fully automated....u need to get those motion sensors....which is not efficient and costly smile.gif

just my 2 cents
