Only 2 days... don't worry about it. I simply means that the interviewer has other candidates to interview after you. then again it's understandable that you get anxious especially if you want the job pretty badly. it's fine to send them a mail and check on the status of your application. at best, I would also appreciate to be told if I pass or not ^^
Yup it's okay to say it's confidential. Payslip is sensitive and confidential so you have your 'rights' to not show. but when you say "i believe that is confidential" don't say it in a defensive way/ attitude.

so in my resume if i dont to reveal my current salary is okay...? i'm afraid by not doing so they don wanna to hire me.. or may be they'll think i'm poyo..

always in any interview they will ask me to bring the payslip or tell them my current salary... but i dont wanna to actually... i want a high pay base on my experience not base on my last salary....

If you had stated salary of previous employemt they can figure the last salary out. You can totally omit salary in your resume but the will ask you eventually (either verbally or through their application form).
You have to learn negotiation skill or forever be stuck with this problem.

Tq for repsonse faceless. I reaaly want to know how to negotiate baout the salary?

Last week I went to an interview. The ask me how low can I go from my expected salary RM3500. My current basic RM2600 and i also have some insentif type around RM300 if the branch achieve target of sale and customer satisfaction.

FYI, my current company quite establish local automotive company but low in salary increment. Company that I went for interview so far is SME or MLM company.

Yeah chienta, it's fine. However most interviewers/ HR personnel will still throw you the question. It serves as a benchmark for them to check how much was your previous pay and how much you mark up for their company. Another note, once you refuse to disclose, most will see it as you have something to 'hide' or you're not being 'truthful'. Whatever it is, unless you are a highly sought-after candidate, you have a lower chance if someone with all the same/ better criteria than you steps up (and this person is willing to disclose his/ her pay). This is something common. Imagine yourself in the interviewer's position then you'll understand why.

I don't bring my payslip around as well. I would tell them what I earn in previous job if they ask but I will not show them my payslip. If they don't believe me, it's fine. I don't have to support it with my payslip.
It's a common problem ^^; my boss said he asks a candidate, "Why do you study Marketing?" and the guy replied, "Because my parents ask me to study it."

Tq dear for your response. smile.gif

Yeah during interview they still asked me and there form also where i need to filled up my expected salary. laugh.gif I did had and intention where I plan to leave it blank and when they asked my expected salary I want to ask how much the salary range fo the job so that my expected salary s not too low or too high from their salary range. But then I can cel and just put the expected salay because afraid that it not proper.

Then there go a question about what is your future plan. I almost silent that time. I dont know what shoyuld i tell them... in my mind the mission is to "go get the pay that suit your experience and age because now you ae far away left behind by other friends and family" icon_rolleyes.gif but then i think i cant tell them this. But when I want to tell them I want share my expertise and gain more experience I rememrber one of prevous interview mention that with my 6 yrs of experience did I not getting experience enough and the job is not for those who want to learn. So sometime I am dillema to answer that type of question. rclxub.gif

Added on February 12, 2011, 9:12 pmhaa one more thing I always dont know what to ask them back during interview? just let them ask me and lupa to ask them hihihi.. what type of question that I can ask?

my interview with and MLM company mention that i had to stayback up to 12 night few time in a month and have about 15-20 travelling time per month at ctrl and outstation area. So has to sacrifice some of my weekend in a month. But no OT claim or travelling allowances (but they will pay for food and hotel lorr) and only a replacement day. If stayback work until night (at least until 10 pm) they have a hardship allowance RM20. Hmm is it worth it?
