QUOTE(booby @ Feb 8 2010, 10:43 PM) what should i expect if the company call me for a second interview? Will they ask those generic interview questions again? You are on track whenever a 2nd interview is called up upon u. If the 1st interview is only attend by HR without the hiring manager, please always highlight why is the absent of the hiring manager, in short the employer is wasting ur time for the interview. In a proper interview, hiring manager should be at the 1st interview & not vice verse. HR is always the later part where your salary and benefits will be discuss which at this stage you are in the list they want to hire you(2nd interview). It happens sometimes 1st interview a junior HR will accompany the Hiring manager, for 2nd interview will involve the HR manager and Hiring manager for interview where the REAL GAME is on the SHOW. So at this stage, you need to present ur negotiation skill because the matter discuss will be general rather technically.A lot candidate presume 1st interviewer is judge your technical skill and knowledge. Perhaps interviewer already get what they wants of your skill from your resume. The purpose of the interview is to know what skills that you can protray and attract them to give u a chance for 2nd interview. Please ever don't emphasis what your resume had stated. Show them your communication skills, protray you have some critical thinking aspect for different perspective and off course related to what job u applied. Good luck... |

Have you aware those filter jobs that done by HR does meet what the Hiring Manager requirement? Also, what does a HR capable to perform the filter stage whereby themselves has limited knowledge of other field beside only HR? The HR only perform their filter base on what the Job description that provided to them from the Hiring Manager. FYI, in my previous employment, i never will attend any interview with only HR. Please be realistic. |

QUOTE(booby @ Feb 10 2010, 04:07 PM) my god ... now this company is calling me back for third interview You can avoid all this hassle by "CONTROL" of the situation. Be realistic to yourself and not to the recruiter. I had seen tones of incompetent and unproductive Human Resource that causing candidate hassle although they are MNC company. Wasting your time and expenses, how about your annual leave if you have one!P/S: Think like a recruiter or employer if you want to be the "Winning Candidate". P/S/S: Control the Interviewing game by asking what the intention of the interview of the day, dont just be a follow goat. Best of all. |
