What is Diablo III ?
Diablo III is an upcoming dark fantasy/horror-themed action role-playing game in development by Blizzard, making it the third installment in the Diablo franchise. The game, which features elements of the hack and slash and dungeon crawl genres, was first announced on June 28, 2008, at the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational in Paris, France

Story Plot:
The game takes place in Sanctuary, the dark fantasy world of the Diablo series. This world was saved twenty years prior by a handful of unnamed heroes in Diablo II. Warriors who, having survived the onslaught brought by the armies of the Burning Hells, have gone mad from their ordeals. It is up to a new generation of heroes to face the forces of evil threatening the world of Sanctuary.

Players will have the opportunity to explore familiar settings such as Tristram.

The only confirmed NPCs are Deckard Cain, who has appeared in both of the previous games, and his stepdaughter, a new character that accompanies the hero in quests from time to time. Cain's journal on the official site brings the player up to speed on the events of the first two games.Diablo's world map is composed primarily of two main continents with several small islands in the Northwest region.

Character Classes:
There will be five available character classes. In the previous two games, each class had a fixed gender, but in Diablo III players may choose the gender they would like to play.Although Blizzard initially revealed only one gender per class, the alternate gender has been revealed slowly in the lead-up to the game's release.

1. thumbup.gif The Witch Doctor is a new character reminiscent of the Diablo II Necromancer, but with skills more traditionally associated with voodoo culture. The Witch Doctor has the ability to summon monsters, cast curses, harvest souls, and hurl poisons and explosives at his enemies. Blizzard has stated that the Witch Doctor is not another version of the Necromancer and that they may incorporate the Necromancer in a future expansion if they so desire.

2. flex.gif The Barbarians will have a variety of revamped skills at their disposal based on the use of their incredible physical prowess. The Barbarian is able to whirlwind through crowds, cleave through swarms, leap across crags, and crush opponents upon landing.

3. blush.gif The Wizard is a version of the Sorceress from Diablo II or the Sorcerer from Diablo. The Wizard's abilities range from shooting lightning, fire and ice at their enemies to slowing time and teleporting around enemies and through walls.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

4. cool2.gif The Monk is a melee attacker, using martial arts to cripple foes, resist damage, deflect projectiles, attack with blinding speed, and land explosive killing blows. It combines the melee elements of Diablo II's Assassin class with the "holy warrior" role of the Paladin. Blizzard has stated that the Monk is not related in any way to the Monk class from the Sierra Entertainment-made Diablo: Hellfire expansion.

5.ph34r.gif The Demon Hunter combines elements of Diablo II's Amazon and Assassin classes. Demon Hunters use crossbows as their main weapon and also throw small bombs at enemies. Some of their skills have been revealed and among them are arrow skills such as Chain Arrow.

RMAH FAQ

New Updates!
Please note this may still be subject to change still as Blizzard has promised an update but hasn't done so for almost 1.5 months now has just updated it yesterday.

Check this out, just found this nifty info for RMAH access:
http://us.battle.net/support/en/article/di...regional-access

The table's too complicated to copy here.

EDIT:
Summary:
Malaysia will have access to a few different currency RMAHs.
US Dollar, Mexican Peso, Argentine Peso, Chilean Peso, Australian Dollar Auction Houses.

It seems you can choose which RMAH you want to put your items up for bidding/buying from the above list.
These Auction houses are NOT inter-linked.
E.g: if you list "Item A" in USD RMAH, other RMAH will not show "Item A" in the other RMAHs!

*I personally do not actively track the pricings. So to help update this list, please private message me the pricings, with links to these places or sources, so i can add to the LYN D3 discussion thread pricelist.

PS: i won't list a certain seller here from lyn, because he was very immoral by making empty promises by bumping people off the pre-order list, even after he already promised pre-orders for the first few people that requested a pre-order and were given numbers only for them to be silently changed without warning or reason provided. I won't bother advertising this seller (who shall remain unnamed) on this thread discussion at all rolleyes.gif

One thing to make clear.
3 PM our time is when the US servers go live (@US Pacific Time 12 midnite).

Remember that Asia servers go up at 12 AM their time (Korean/Aussie/NZ?)
How will they play if can't install the client? smile.gif

buy from battle.net direct only usd59.99 which is about rm188+

can play immediately on launch on 15 may 2012.
no need to wait for seller to send cd key.

imagine seller need to open 100+ boxes to send 100+ cd keys to that many people.

oh the horror!
*
1 thing to note using this method is you have to use a US Address in the BNet acc to purchase at USD 59.99.
That also comes with a major disadvantage as I recently found out.

Sharing this for those that have US address in the BNet accounts:

If you are planning to use the RMAH to cash-out, you will need to set up the mobile alert.
The problem with this (if you have US address) is that you can't enter in a Malaysia mobile phone for the alert.

You CAN'T enter the country code! (I tried using Heywire but it kept failing sad.gif)
Only way it seems is to request for address change to Malaysia (like I'm doing now).

Are there any account-security measures tied to the real-money auction house?
Players will be required to attach a Battle.net Authenticator, free Battle.net Mobile Authenticator, or Dial-In Authenticator (where available) in order to carry a Battle.net Balance over $100 USD (or equivalent local currency) . For more information about how to obtain an Authenticator, please visit this page.

Players who wish to use PayPal to charge up their Battle.net Balance or to “cash out” funds earned in the real-money auction house will be required to sign up for our Mobile Alerts SMS authentication service in Battle.net. When you sign up for the Mobile Alerts service, you will receive a text message on your mobile phone containing a code that you must enter on Battle.net to verify your identity. Once verification is complete, you can then move forward with your transaction. After this initial verification, you will be prompted to enter a new SMS code from time to time when accessing a feature that uses PayPal. Note that standard SMS messaging rates apply -- check with your cell phone carrier for details.

Sure, you need one or 2 things:

1) Scan IC or passport
2) Scan Utility bill if your address is different from IC

Then go BNet account under Support (top right side of the page), and submit ticket

*
Correct. The item I'm highlighting is for those that have US address BNet acc.
Coz when you wanna tie the mobile alert, it will FAIL as it cannot detect the Malaysia mobile.

As for local banks, Paypal will allow you to transfer your money out to several local banks.
I don't have the full list but there's quite a few.

I'm putting RHB as external withdrawal for ease.
As the only one local bank that allows PayPal top up is RHB (without using Credit Card)

EDIT:
So my Paypal topup/withdraw all goes to same RHB acc smile.gif

*
The foreign currency conversion rate I'm not sure (if there's any)

Quote from PayPal directly when attempting the transfer:
Options Processing Time Cost
Withdraw to your bank account
Banks in Malaysia
2-3 Business Days Free If RM400.00 MYR or more is withdrawn

RM3.00 MYR If less than RM400.00 MYR is withdrawn

Banks in the U.S.
3-4 Business Days Free for banks in the U.S.
Withdraw funds to your card 5-7 Business Days RM20.00 MYR

EDIT:
Just found this on PayPal:
QUOTE
*** If your transaction involves a currency conversion, it will be completed at a foreign exchange rate PayPal obtains from a financial institution, which is adjusted regularly based on market conditions. This exchange rate includes a 2.5% processing fee above the exchange rate, and the processing fee is retained by PayPal. The specific exchange rate that applies to your multiple currency transaction will be displayed at the time of the transaction.

1) Only designated to "homes" only? that means if Malaysia RMAH only available on Malaysia? Even SG RMAH cannot get to link? OR
RMAH is designated by "regions" 3 different server regions? this is really confusing. please help?

4) will it have any problem when i try to cash out money from RMAH to paypal because of address in paypal is not same with Battlenet?

Please help sifu !! notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif

1) No, it is by region and Malaysia is a part of SEA. SEA is grouped with US region RMAH already.
2) Gold is open for all regions. You can use Gold AH if you want to play other region (eg: Europe)
3) Not necessary, you can use Malaysia address. In fact, you should to avoid the mobile alert hassle I'm going thru.
4) Probably not but it's not recommended. (see # 3)

d3 is a mmorpg.

massively multiplayer
- how many people are playing this game?

online
- must online to play!

role playing game
- kill stuff, get exp, find loot, level up!
conclusion, it is a mmorpg.
*
urmm.. I'm sorry bro but I'll have to disagree with you here.
MMO RPG = [b]Massively[cool.gif Multiplayer Online RPG
In games like WoW , RO, etc is where hundreds of players can be on the same screen and interacting/questing/fighting.

In D3, the only "massive" interaction is the Public Chat (is AH even considered interaction between players.... not directly IMHO?)
In the same battlefield, only 4 players are there, and that's not "massive" enough smile.gif
