actually  in my case it took me 5 month to reach 7k millage... its not such a good practice coz i actually spend alot of time in traffic jam so the millage is way above 7k tongue.gif

i also want to try practice 5k now, coz the turbo unit needs the oil iinm for cooling down so using an oil too long might not be a good thing for the turbo unit.
*
yeah..i will also stick to 5k intervals.. just want to make sure the car is in pristine condition tongue.gif they said 5k or 3 months heck 3months alwasy come first biggrin.gif

Pumping above recommended pressure is dangerous leh. Tyre will bengkak easily, and may burst during highspeed.
What engine oil you use? How many items did they charge you for?

In all fairness, what multilink gains in stability and comfort, it loses in simplicity. You cant have it all. I do miss my Waja, especially when my saga rear wheels hops becuase it hit a bump while making a turn  shakehead.gif

EDIT: that said, i dont miss the time when I had to replace EVERY SINGLE ARM to hunt down a squeaking noise coming from the rear suspension.  doh.gif
*
its ok if a few psi above std..ur tyres will last longer and better fuel consumption summore..but not too much.. sumthin like 2-3 psi above std considered still ok

multilink owner?let me gues is it focus...i think if u drive a multilink suspnsion u bettrr find a suitable  mechanic lor...to tackle multilink probs...don jus go to random repair shop..
*
no mekanik bwh pokok please tongue.gif .. i think proton cars have come to a point that its no longer suitable to send to any random mechanics..

if u read the civic forums, as theirs are using double wishbones, they have suspension problems as well, most of the time, the link's that goes bad.

the same cant be said for the toyota altis, which uses a simple torsion beam.
*
brace yourselves..high maintenance cost are coming... yep u do have a point..but id guess its tradeoff rite?

haha...brace yourselves, proton absorbers only costs ~RM150ea for front and RM100ea for rear.

no other car makers can give such price. hondas, mitsu and toyotas charge 3 times the amount.

fyi, the lancer's absorbers cost 5 times more than the inspira. proton high maintenance? one of the lowest actually. biggrin.gif

thats good news biggrin.gif

hmm 10.3L/100km, little bit on the high side. City driving, maybe if jam alot tat kind of mileage is normal i think. Last time i drive savvy manual 90% city driving around 9.3L/100km like tat.. i think should be around 8-9 is a good enough. If 50/50 should be around advertised.
*
i drive with a heavy foot though tongue.gif ..i will try to just use the vvt and see what happens

wat is vvt actually? i tot campro dont have vvt?
*
cfe got vvt..iafm dont..if u drive bellow 2k rpm u will only use the vvt so the turbo doesn't kick in hence working like a normal 1.6 engine

edit: the vvt in cfe is continuously vvt or normal vvt?

cps is similar to hondas vtec albeit different in execution ...vvt is vvt lar like vvti ... only campro cfe got vvt

edit: iafm is like vim..correct or not ah guys?

turbo auto at 2k rpm rite? turbo use more FC?
*
yep it kicks in at 2k rpm cz u get more air in so more combustion of fuel... the idea of downsizing is that u want the power of a 2 liter using a 1.6 engine..so it will not necessarily use fuel like a 1.6 it might be more but not as much as a 2L..correct?

*
no turbo does...u cant disable it ..just maintain the rpm bellow 2k rpm to use vvt only..its already sufficient for city driving.. for highway u can unleash the torques brows.gif

CPS is variable lift, means at 4k RPM the valve will lift higher and suck in more fuel for more power.

VVT in campro is variable valve timing for the intake valve, with 30++ different settings for different conditions according to mat79, IINM. Yes it is continuous VVT.

Yes IAFM functions similiarly to VIM, but controlled differntly.

Proton will be delisted from bursa saham, means no more proton berhad, it will be proton sdn bhd.

so its act cvvt la rite? tongue.gif ...

I think u misunderstand the continuos vvt..

The VVT will always continue whether it's on low or high RPM, just the matter the valve opening timing is longer or short..

The gearbox is auto ©ontinuous Variable Transmission (CVT) , which previous auto gearbox is not.

Nway manage to test drive Preve today..lacks on pickup..but enter highway the Preve is the beast...cornering, handling, braking and power is unbelievable....manage to go to 200km/h at 5th gear..
Now tempted to get one  drool.gif
*
haha no lar.. in know the gearbox is cvt..want to confirm the vvt for the engine is continuous or not..if continuous like hyundai one cvvt
edit: continuous as in the vvt always continuously variates through the driving conditions

AFAIK, all VVT are continuous, that includes VVT-i, DVVT etc.
*
hmm.gif from wikipidea.. anyway can anyone confirm this? mat79 perhaps? tongue.gif ..its good to know types of tech used in cars

cvvt:

Continuous variable valve timing offers a unique ability to have independent control of the intake and exhaust valves in an internal combustion engine. For any engine load criteria, the timing of intake and exhaust can be independently programmed.

vvti:

VVT-i, introduced in 1996, varies the timing of the intake valves by adjusting the relationship between the camshaft drive (belt, scissor-gear or chain) and intake camshaft. Engine oil pressure is applied to an actuator to adjust the camshaft position. Adjustments in the overlap time between the exhaust valve closing and intake valve opening result in improved engine efficiency.

dvvt: (not to be confused with peroduas dvvt which stands for dynamic vvt .its only a normal vvt)

The Dual VVT-i system adjusts timing on both intake and exhaust camshafts. It was first introduced in 1998 on the RS200 Altezza's 3S-GE engine.

Dual VVT-i is also found in Toyota's new generation V6 engine, the 3.5-liter 2GR-FE first appearing on the 2005 Avalon. This engine can now be found on numerous Toyota and Lexus models. By adjusting the valve timing, engine start and stop occurs almost unnoticeably at minimum compression. Fast heating of the catalytic converter to its light-off temperature is possible, thereby reducing hydrocarbon emissions considerably.

Haha, you were like me not so long ago, quoting the same stuffs.

Anyway, any VVT has the ability to continuously adjust the timing of the valves according to RPM. The Campro CFE can only variate the intake valve while others like the Dual VVT can variate both the intake and exhaust valve. These CVVT, VVT-i, DVVT, Dual VVT-i are all basically the same thing by different companies.
