Hi guys,
I was in D'sara Uptown today looking at sofas. This salesman came up to me and told me it was Rustico leather.

Not real leather, and not PU also.. its a new type of leather in the market, and its anti scratch

We literally did a scratch test, and really it didn't leave any marks.
I am quite tempted to buy, but just thought if any of you heard of it, and would like to share your thoughts..

it says :

"Rustico leather:
Abrasion resistant : 700,00 Cycle rubs tested
ISO 7854 : 1984"

No idea what this means.. anyone can explain?


the price for a 3 seater is about 1.4k..

Rustico is a brand of leather products...

How much the sofa

Do you have the picture of the sofa?

3 seater is at rm1400

The piece I saw was a L shape
He said can request the factory to do a 3 seater for me

ISO 7854 : 1984 refers to Rubber- or plastics-coated fabrics -- Determination of resistance to damage by flexing (dynamic method).

My guess is that this is Faux leather a PU coated bonded leather at best. Worst case may also be PVC or PU (leather look alike).

My suggestion is just go for the real leather stuff.

Looks like its either rubber or plastic.. Hmmm leather sounds good now
