I believe we did our very best, just lack reinforcements in certain areas. You could notice certain players were out of steam towards the end at Sunderland, but still held on to the lead nevertheless. It was a long season and we ended up with the same points with the champions. Just a few adjustments and we will fight for the title next season, blinding our opponents with the power of Gingham

QUOTE(ah_khoo @ May 14 2012, 10:18 AM) there's no need to make other teams look ugly while we're no better in shape mate. at least d blues & d other reds won something when we got nothing to lift (apart from d big plate in d beginning of d season). agree with ah_khoo on this one, we have to really look at ourselves and improve for the season to come. d league is gettin more competitive & we definitely need to improve. gonna be very interestin when d transfer window is once opened again... |

QUOTE(kurtkantoi @ May 15 2012, 09:00 AM) Actually if you watch closely during the early moments of the celebrations, he was in front with Pizarro at the tunnel. Very POKERFACE though As for Scholes staying for another season, he's proving time and time again that age is just a number. However we seriously needs some flair in midfield to put up with the assault from City and the rest. |

Hargreaves is more pathetic than Tevez IMO, on Tevez's case he was kinda left out once Berba came in hence the outburst and City switch, still unacceptable though. But Hargreaves's comments about United's staff is a lame attempt to make himself like the abused one

QUOTE(maxkiller @ May 23 2012, 01:07 PM) leighton baines to Man U.. This is actually a good move if it's materialised, since we have only one real left back ( Evra). Another thing to point out is over depending on Evra to perform week in and out has took a toll at the end of the season.can believe or not? http://www.emirates247.com/sports/football...-05-23-1.459923 |

QUOTE(zenix @ May 31 2012, 05:13 PM) but then for some players which the scouts have given a glowing report but their saham not yet naik becoz they not yet do some heroic thing in euro then how? agree with this if certain players shine at the Euro's expect to pay higher than before, a nice example is Chicha, when we signed before WC, came in cheap after euro more expensive |

QUOTE(zenix @ May 31 2012, 05:30 PM) sometimes i feel arsene wenger play FM, all the players he sign and target also the similar young talents i target and sign. There was a question raised pew pages about Wenger's high pay and you can see why, spots raw talent very well and moulds them to superstars, IMO both Wenger and SAF are the best in developing talents. No forgetting the coaching staff alsoSAF signings really out of no where wan.....really kudos to the scouts. |

Midfield dept needs a tough tackler, the idea of signing Modric will be so complicated since Kagawa has joined us. Another full back is necessary, and that should be enough.

QUOTE(hocksoo @ Jun 7 2012, 11:15 AM) It will not. With Modric join, he will operate from MF, while Kagawa operate behind Rooney who is playing as Striker. Modric would be a good recruit make no mistake, but the valuation from Spurs and age perhaps we should look to bolster the back a bit instead of investing in another playmaker. We need a fighter like Keano for now, and the rest is less important IMO Ideally, if we have Tiote, Baines, Modric join Rafael---Vidic---Ferdinand---Baines ----------------Tiote------------------- --------Modric--------Carrick--------- Valencia-------Kagawa--------Young ----------------Rooney---------------- Of course you can argue we will have Fletcher back but how fit will he be and his form are questionable. Giggs and Scholes will use on rotation with Modric and Carrick. Cleverley might compete with Kagawa or even rotate in CM or in the wing. Nani and Welbeck will rotate with Valencia and Young. Hernandez and Welbeck could also rotate with Rooney. But we still need one striker... if Dembele came. |

Absolutely delighted with the signing of Powell, bring in a defensive midfielder and we should be well equipped in the middle

QUOTE(cursed @ Jun 14 2012, 04:45 PM) Trouble with a 4-4-1-1 position is sacrificing the partnership between Rooney and Wellbeck if SAF plans to play Kagawa in that "hole" position. Playing Wellbeck on the wing is a waste as we have our wingers for that. Not to bash but I think SAF should sometimes consider playing Chicharito more for next season. He's a proven poacher of goals, better than Welbeck IMO, I do get it that Welbeck brings pace and all but Chicha isn't short of that either. It's funny how we have slightly forgotten about Chica. Okay he had a stop start 2nd season. I hope with proper rest this summer he'll reach the heights of his 1st. Not forgetting Berbatov which im slightly confused why is he omitted from the starting 11 in the first place. Sure he's slow but he certainly gives us plenty of options. I guess we shouldn't question the boss. Ando situation, I just hope he proves critics wrong when he comes back fighting fit. I really wanted to see Ando + cleve partnership blossom |

QUOTE(alfiejr @ Jun 14 2012, 05:37 PM) Hernandez's main flaws right now are his ridiculously sluggish first touch and flair in creating chances. To me Danny has surpassed him by miles in this area and if he can only improve his confidence infront of goal I think we have a very special player in our hands here. Welbeck's certainly adapts to our style of play, make no doubt about it. The lack of finishing where it mattered had severely affected our title chances last season, should the no 14 played there could be a slim hope of cutting the goal deficit. Anyway that's too late to talk now but this competition for places is indeed good for team overall I'm not trying to undermine Chica here but Danny bring so much to the team that for most the time complement with our style of play. Though Chicha predatory instinct infront of goal might prove the decisive cutting edge in some games But for now I will start Danny instead of Chicha. Added on June 14, 2012, 5:57 pm QUOTE(ayanami_tard @ Jun 14 2012, 05:40 PM) Ramli,if you watch malaysian football,is more like Matyo's style of play(the closest person that i remember playing like this in epl is our friend Suarez) Who's Ramli? even though he's not a winger,he does excellent diagonal runs from the flank.excellent if playing against those who like to park the bus in front of goalpost This post has been edited by rbntr: Jun 14 2012, 05:57 PM |
