s2 the king of "plastic", sold by more than 20 million units that single handedly almost can rival iphone's sales figure...some even say the shipped unit figures r undocumented, not sure.

how much the "metal chassis" sensation sold for??

im abit frustrated that ppl overlook s3 trendsetting of the smart stay eye tracking n wireless charging. s2 also brought few albeit minor breakthru such as the OTG n NFC among others .

when i mentioned these two stuffs, my friends went "Wow...", almost disbelieve.

if anyone were to upgrade their s2 to s3, me for one, these two alone can rly make up for that. IDK about u guys...but i use my s2 quite heavily so i charge every often i can so the wireless charging is mind blowing...as well as the frustration we know whenever i n my frens looking at the s2 n it dims itself now solved by the smart stay tech... anything else, the screen tech , the size, the S voice (~siri) , the batt (well, i like it in the 2k mah barrier now)...all is parallel to competition now out there...but at the mentioned of the two above...nthg come close...another s3 breakingthru....anything else the s3 bring sweet to the table ,honestly , are serious bonuses...

truthfully, i do like the HOX design alot...

but when i see my friend's HOX which he bought for a week, it look like he owned it for a month or many months because the HOX rear is rubber like...

if a normal wear n tear btw rubber back n s3 glossy back ...surely the later one will endure and look more elegant and more lasting in terms of condition...

when i realise tis, i instantly minus point fr the HOX. admitantly, ters rly no perfect package, so d only way is to improvise...the s3 design can grow on you just lik the s2 did ^_____^

ya becuz the phone is almost become the most personal thing ,maybe spend more time with it than your partner or gf...so if the camera no good right...realy a turn off...

it's like you buy a sport car but the headlight is yellow type not the xenon hid type...

you show off show off your s3, the quad capability la, the "true multitsaking" lah, this n that, then when asked of the camera...then u said...oh the camera ah, camera not so good la...hehe

beside, nowadays cuz of social networking era n lifestyle (before eat also must photograph first), phone almost is the equivalent of a full time "part time camera".

Hox rear is rubber lik plastic, no? Due to tht, the wear n tear is more obvious than glossy, imho. Tis mean 1 practical point goes to s3 glossy rear.

I like built in non removable battery cover but removable one is more practical. Ive my s2 spare batt which i bot for rm15 n uses it once a week like tht. Its very infrequent but those time tht i do use d spare batt is of real importance to me. So 2 practical poibt goes to s3 for function over form. Thou form wise is not entirely all lost until d beast had landed

Im using my s2 now typing n i cnt help but think somehow d s3 may win my heart in terms of design than s2. Actually s2 design is not all THAT pretty also but it is embedded in our mind already tht our brain had already registered it as "pretty" becuz its light, user frenly n powerful not to mention d no. 1 hp.

When s3 hath come, in sure s3 design wil win many once they taken it in their hand. Cuz d curve n rounded edges r so favorable to hold right.

Image wise, i lik d rear more than s2, cuz d gloss make it look elegant. S2 back? *i turn my s2 back*, actually nthg to write home about lol

I c. Cuz i saw my fren's black HOX, d rear look so worn out, he admit he is rough user but his hox only 1 week only =. = thus my opinion.

My 9mth old s2 rear samsung metallic brand stil in pristine condition tho d rear plastic d looked lik it had gone to few wars n back lol

actually i m aware of the 40, 32, 28nm architecture also. i got read about the snapdragon s4 can 'overtake' d s3 quad in some cases , cuz the apps/script probably written for dual core optimisation. n u r right again about real world performance may vary

but across the board, surely a quad is better than dual core (im taking the understanding from computer). and even quad cores tech in computer stays "stagnant" d as if met a technology saturation point.

anything 'enhanced'/extra , most of the time is simply marketing gimmicks. at the expense of the customers

for e.g. i always buy new laptop when they change the motherboard n die shrink since its more significant update rather than the proc itself, microsoft tick tock schedule...ie now using 2nd gen i5, but everytime, my computer didnt quite feel faster than my previous centrino 2 , they both also no faster than my first gen solo core lol get my drift?

im sure the cortex A15 will supercede A9. but 40 vs 32 is 'marginal' but 32 to 28 doesnt seem so big lol as to the enhancement from dual to quad thus justifying the jump to quad alone is good enuf.

i guess the answer is we'll hv to wait n see if the feeling is right (or irresistible) , just jumpship right lol since nowadays, many of my neighbours children, or friend's friend or friend's friend's of friends r dying of some malfunction, partly due to 'sai miang' lifestyle lol...we never knw whats happening tomorrow lol so just enjoy whatever u can without flipping your bank account lol

with all these S voice on listening to the magic word all the time, gesture sensor on , n eye tracking on, hotchick radar on, your parents r nearing your perimeter sensor on...i doubt the s3 can survive a day even with a 4000mah battery...u sure, samsung?

you are right. i always use my s2 unreservedly knowing that i always hv a spare battery standby in my car lol...but "all night" is abit pushing it without a charger nearby . i charge my phone like 3-8x a day...not to a full charge, but charge whenever im idle at home then i just plug it in even for adding 5% charging or status 70-80% also i charge lol..so m i consider the heavy user category lol.

processor is naturally samsung forte n manufacturer. but i do feel samsung is trying a new approach now - sthg more humanly ,focuses on apps, interface, and d overall user experience becuz, based on this article

does anyone know batch number what sammy started shipping S2 G version? but at tht time, the exynos is considered new n they werent ready to mass produce it right hence the decision to use Ti OMAP on the G version.

for s3, i believe, they r ready for exynos mass application d so no G version for the S3 will occur, if ever. make sense?
