hmmm im fine with it ...

somemore .. there's a feature in Note .

you can change to One Hand Operating .
user posted image
even for left hand also can . Calculater also .

anyway i would say a 4.8" screen is way much better for normal size hand people .

3.5" ? hmm my thumb already can press 2-3 alphabet on 3.5" keyboard.
*
I have thinking about it before. Why not Samsung or any app developer try develop screen interface resizer, just shake the phone, the screen interface resize to 3.5 inch screen. After user finish interact with the interface, shake again, the screen resize back to normal 4.6 inch or 4.8 inch or 5.3 inch.

Bonus if Samsung can develop sensor to know if user holding the phone by one hand or two hands. If one hand, if the finger go near to the screen, the screen interface resize to 3.5 inch. Other than that, this feature can give us back the "mouse over / mouse out" event like we have in the PC. Yes, we missed this feature in mobile device. I am waiting for this feature, come on Samsung, give me this feature in next Samsung Galaxy S 4.

I like the idea too.  They need to listen more in order to be more competitive smile.gif

Some news here, they're moving in the right direction
Samsung looking to acquire companies for better software – Android or its own?
*
And I worry if Apple like this idea too and release it in next iPhone5 after some basher read my idea. Then, they have reason why iPhone5 have screen more than 3.7 inch.

Actually, I hope apple will not succumb to the large screen silliness. It's quite difficult to reach diagonal wt one hand operation on a screen more than 4 inch.
If u want large screen, shld just use the iPad.
*
How about my idea? Just email it to Apple. I don't care if Apple can do it, but please don't patent it, let's others have that feature too.

You can send your idea to both camp. Send it to Apple and Google  :-)

Yes, I already thinking about it. Just after SGS3 released and know they don't have that feature, than I will do. Actually I am an app developer, for both Android and iOS. I like the mouseover event like I used for web-based applications before.

For SGS3, maybe someone can develop the interface resizer first. Shake to resize. Or any other input to resize.

yes but that is application controlled. the feature in s3 is built into the OS.

for example at the moment when the screen is about to dim, instead of dimming, it turns on the camera for a brief moment to see if u eyes are looking at the phone. if yes then don't dim. if eyes are not looking, then dim. continue to monitor the eyes for a brief moment before turning off the screen if still not looking then off the screen.

there u go, the pseudo code. open source free to distribute tanpa was was
i don't think the smart stay uses lot of battery.
*
Another point is, the front camera on but no preview on the screen. Battery drain issue because camera app use screen to preview the image. Remember our fist digital camera with dual view finder, one is the normal view finder and the second one is the digital view finder. If more we use digital view finder, battery will drain more fast.

Sammobile.com got the user manual in pdf: http://www.sammobile.com/wp-content/upload...anual-I9300.pdf

Some features we don't know found in the user manual:

Tilt
While holding the device with
two hands, tap and hold two
points on the screen, and then
tilt the device back and forth to
zoom in or out when viewing
images or browsing webpages.

Pan to move
While holding an item, slide the
device to the left or right to move
the item to another page on the
Home screen or the application
list.

Pan to browse
When an image is zoomed in, tap
and hold a point on the screen,
and then slide the device in any
direction to scroll through the
image.

i think s voice is a bit more practical than siri from the demo. what's 2 + 2? 4. straight to the point. very practical coz i always have numbers in my head and is nice to have a voice calc handy. for siri, what's 2 + 2, well it answered by googling it. not so smart.

but anyway, all devices fail in a way.

I surely like if voice assistant can catch phone number told by FM radio when I driving. I can ask the voice assistant to save the phone number, website or email. Normally, from radio, DJ or advertiser will tell the phone number, website or email word by word for example: "zero, one, nine, three, three, eight twenty twenty", so the result must be "0193382020". Hopefully S voice can do it! thumbup.gif

Page 26-29 of the manual - Use motions  drool.gif
*
You missed page 30:

CODE
To unlock them, turn on the screen by pressing the Power key or the Home key, and then flick your finger in any direction.

You can use the motion unlock for unlocking the screen. In the application list, select Settings → Security → Screen
lock → Motion → OK. To unlock the screen with the motion unlock, tap and hold a point on the screen, and then tilt
the device forwards.

Motions as input for some actions is simple idea but so great innovation! I like it so much.

Just to drop by here.

Japan gets dual-core Samsung Galaxy S III with 2GB RAM  thumbup.gif

http://www.soyacincau.com/2012/05/16/japan...i-with-2gb-ram/

If Galaxy S, we have SL, S Plus, S Advance for little spec changes, they got different model code. How come SGS III have quadcore no LTE, dualcore with LTE, dualcore with 2gb RAM but the model code is same? Supposed to give different name and model code for easy to identify.

So what spec will Malaysian get eh?

Those S, SL, S Plus, S Advance are different from the current case.  The reason for quadcore no LTE and dualcore with LTE is to adapt to different markets, under the same name of SIII (one phone).
*
Ok, japan version have different model code actually: SC-06D
