BTW, anyone notice the button on S3, how come it doesn't have the recent apps button instead for a menu button? Or am I wrong on it?

QUOTE(xpresside @ May 6 2012, 03:14 AM) TBH, native 3G call is really obsolete, no offence. How many ppl still use 3G call? For video call, mostly ppl now use Fring / Tango / Skype as it support WIFI plus you don't have to pay additional call charges for 3G. It is much more cheaperThis post has been edited by WiLyi: May 6 2012, 03:22 AM |

QUOTE(ken2291 @ May 6 2012, 11:25 PM) Ever since I start reading tech news, I always see them doing it Well say mate. I really hate Apple when they patent this and that and start suing everyone for such a small matter. All this suing really stop the evolution of mobile technology. We should be lucky that Apple is not the first company to invent a car. Else they gonna sue each and every company for putting 4 wheels on each carE.g. Phone with a rectangular shape. They expect people to carry pyramid shaped phones? |

QUOTE(ken2291 @ May 7 2012, 12:40 PM) That's probably the reason HTC goes rubber with the grey One X. Maybe the blue SIII will attract more fingerprints Both glossy and matte surface has their own pros and cos. Glossy won't get dirty easily but is prone to scratches and is a super finger print magnets. Matte surface is finger print and scratch resistance but easily get dirty. Luckily the material for white HOX is good where you can just wipe the stain off easily. Like how XPS does. |

QUOTE(ramz @ May 7 2012, 02:40 PM) good question, This i believe is more on software. As long as your device has a front facing camera, it could possibly be ported. But somehow I believe this feature will drain the battery as you need to activate the front cam for it to workthe obvious that needs hardware support 1. charging wirelessly 2. lte 3. nfc related the rest i say no need. right? like smart stay <--- not sure someone please confirm if no hardware support required smart alert direct call social tag s voice all share play buddy photo share etc. so technically a sII with custom rom can do all of the above except the above 3 things |

QUOTE(ZeneticX @ May 7 2012, 11:40 PM) kalaks S 3 Can't agree more. Even thou I really don't like iphone, but really hv to give respect to late steve job. His presentation skill and persuasive power is really a strong and powerful tool to apple at that timeif you watch HTC One X announcement at MWC, their CEO oso the same. english is not that good shows how important is steve jobs to fruity. asian companies can make tons of better phones, but they don't have any1 capable to present them nicely |

Having dinner with one of my fren who work in Samsung. She mention the S3 that reach our region might only be the 16GB version. ETA should be mid of June.
She will get bec to me once there is any confirmation on this. But if it is 16GB that reach us would be kinda sad. Luckily S3 comes with expandable memory |

To me voice control is only useful when I can't get my hand to touch the phone, usually during driving.
But problem is, with our slang and the way we are named, it is always hard to get the phone to dial the number we wanted. The best voice calling experience I have is while using Nokia N95, almost every call can be voice dialled without a problem But seems like the S Voice is quite accurately in the test by a Singaporean, hopefully it could be utilized more as a feature rather than a gimmick |

QUOTE(w1nter456 @ May 10 2012, 06:02 PM) first phone with edge to edge display. http://cdn.androidcentral.com/sites/androi...nyx50bottom.jpg At first I thought it is a mock up pic of GNex http://www.androidcentral.com/nyx-mobile-fun-lyuba-max-hands Spec not really good compared to S3, but the border'less' edge to edge is really drooling |

QUOTE(tashfinsheikh @ May 11 2012, 01:56 AM) The design is not that bad , if you look at it at first you won't like it, after some time you will get used to the design and start liking it, not sure how this is happening, maybe S3 has hypnotizing powers , who knows I'm in the same boat with you. During the launch I don't really like the design, especially the back design. Now, the design is growing in me especially the pebble blue instead of the white one which I love the most. |
