the only thing i think is better on the One X is the screen and design... Thats all... not even Sense UI attracts me... I always prefer TouchWiz over Sense...

I can live wit the s3 design actually... the only thing is the screen i would say i really favour the One X much more... Hopefully its not as bad as I think it would...

Using the TI OMAP S2G currently, would like to try out the Exynos chipset... din like my Tegra 2 Xoom, and is one of my reason not going to the Tegra 3 One X....

My advice to you, try out Galaxy Nexus / Note at Samsung showroom. Count the pixels if you want. Then you might change your mind.

Magnifying glass disqualify.

I always played wit my fren's Note and yeap it looks fantastic... but i never really compared it side by side with the One X...

I don play much games on my phone... but i surf and read a lot wit it.... priority on my phone is

1) the display
2) the surf speed

the S2 did well in both of these and I believe S3 shud be better perhaps ???? Sifus here any advise whether I am on the right track... but not taking Note as an option because it is really not pocketable enuf for me...

forgot to add another plus point for One X... the Capative buttons and with the multitask button.. i love those... but i can see its hard to pressed as in the accuracy of getting it hit is low... always see reviewers having tough time pressing it LOL...

Surf speed depends on ur Internet connection. In Malaysia, sum body pointed out its hard enuff to get 3G speeds let alone hsdpa. So s2 and s3 no difference.

Display definitely s2 is better bcos is rgb. Pentile matrix makes pictures and colors faded and unnatural.
Of course, if u hv never seen s.amoled plus, then it's considered ok.

H1x super slcd2 is much better than amoled technology though.
It's more natural and still very vibrant.
Amoled is saturated n fake.

yea i do agree with u.... the AMOLED colour looks fake.... BUT i like it that way somehow LOL!!!

the only disappointment like others mentioned is probably the HD AMOLED in S3 which is lacking the plus....

If u read my post a few pages back, Samsung also stated that customers like the fake color of amoled.
That's why they continue to use this technology.
It is also limitation of amoled technology to have the rgb at higher resolution.

So HD became more important compare to rgb.

Disappointing...

oh well i do find some limitations to the AMOLED displays though... when viewing on white screens i do feel abit uneasy wit black fonts over white screens.....

at the end of the day it still depends on individual.... i can say i do prefer the One X display over my current S2 AMOLED... just its too bad its not on a Samsung TouchWiz phone....

just my personal preference though....

i was having trouble deciding on the One X or S3 solely because of the screen... but i guess i can say bye bye to the One X ady after seeing the below comparison....

http://www.staceysamsungmobiler.blogspot.co.uk/

the colour contrast of the Galaxy Nexus HD AMOLED is much better compared to the One X Super LCD2...

S3, here i come !!!!

eg: i go setting.. wanna return back previous (wifi, contact or watsoever) or go app or anything wanna go back previous page on website also same... need 2 press alot times.. max is 5 to 6 times..

swipe the screen also hard.. need alot times.. unlike sense.. just once!

1st i rarely use home button.. home button is working good..
*
erm.... i actually tried to use my S2 back button after reading ur complaints on it.....

eventually it worked for all 10/10 times.... i think u have some prob wit ur unit though.... i liked the capative buttons so much so that i don even use my home button... i only use home button for task manager....

bro.. i tested alot samsung phone.. that's y i'm said like this.. u might not agree so ur choice.. x syiok can no need reply de ah..

hmmm... i think it shud be the gesture when u press on the capative buttons.... i always use my tumb on the back button.... but i have tried using other fingers and it still works fine as if u press it accurately....

i think u shud be pressing on the wrong side of it.... try pressing on top of the back button.... sometimes i do miss my back buttons if i press it too fast.... i tend to press lower than where the button is.... probably u have been pressing the wrong place ???

i have tried using my frens' ACE, Note, and Nexus... and i always play with the demo units in Samsung stores... its really rare to find back button not working though....

maybe u really shud bring it back to Samsung and have them testing on it.... no worries i am just trying to help.... i do understand that u r frustrated when things r not goin ur way.... maybe u really so unlucky got those defect units ??? just go and claim ur warranty.... that's what the warranties r for....

Did Samsung mention any improvement on the camera dealing with low lighting / dim ares ??? I think thats one of the problem i'm having wit my S2... i don take much pictures but sometimes it can be frustrating when u can't take good pics esppecially restaurants with dim light and when u don prefer the flash to be on....

I have used the voice keyboard on my s2 couple of times and its actually working quite well.... i like the in car mode concept but frankly speaking it has not been working very well though...

i saw some review about the voice to unlock the s3... anyone know how it works ???

how does this AMOLED degrading actually works???

i often uses half brightness on my phone... in this case will it improve the life span of my AMOLED ??? Or it will actually be the same as long as I have my screen on regardless of the brightness level ????

simple.. everything in this world has its lifespan. the electronics suffer even worse when it comes to lifespan.

take for example of your florescent light bulbs that u use in your house. how often u need to change it? the capacitors u used in your motherboard also has it's lifespan from 30000hours to 100000 hours. depending on the type and quality/grade.

same goes to the LCD panels or OLED/AMOLED. it will have it's lifespan too. manufactures quantify the lifespan with various method. like the one i mentioned, the time takes for it to reach 50% of original brightness is one of the method to quantify the lifespan.

batteries also use similar method to quantify. after a year, battery will have around 70% of their original charge and then maybe 50% after second year. battery life can be reduced over time, or thru charging cycles.

using lower brightness on yr phone will definitely prolong the life span bcz it's operating in a lower current and lower temperature as well. Temperature is what kills electronic component the most (not forgetting current), hence u see the importance of using cooling facilities such as heat sink fan.

very good explanation.... thx a lot....

yea i agree that this is ntg to worry about.... but it is true that they shud have used the AMOLED instead of full RGB panels because i might "try" to use the s3 for 3 years if i am able to resist from upcoming new phones tongue.gif

Hmmm i always have trouble making calls for Dad and Dad 2 on my S2 voice action..... i can call Dad 2 easily but having hard time to get the phoe to regconize solely Dad... it will eventually ask me which Dad i wan to call... Hope they've improved in the S3 s voice.....

but one thing i"m sure is that the Android's voice to type is definitely accurate and able to catch our M'sia slangs..... thumbs up for this.... I've spoken to Siri and it always gets the wrong word......

I think it shud be priced that way too... the 2099 will replaced the galaxy nexus and the galaxy nexus price to fall to 1899 maybe ???

it actually benefits the HOX which is priced at 2099 with 32gb where S3 is only 16gb, in the sense that the replacable battery and micro-sd is to compensate the 16gb extra storage of HOX.... worth the deal ??? or is that a draw ???
