QUOTE(HafisUN @ May 15 2012, 10:39 PM) My own experience is like this...I have a Celcom USB dongle. I bought S2 from a retailer, and subscribe to U Mobile U28 Plan, without contract. If I had bought S2 from U Mobile, I would need to subscribe to U88 Plan. Since I don't make a lot of voice calls, I gather that I could save about RM30 every month without contract. That is, a saving of about RM720 over a 2-year period. Of course, I could have just discontinued my Celcom plan, and gone with U88 instead. I could do tethering and surf Net on the PC. But since U Mobile's coverage is still very limited at this time, I think it is better to keep the Celcom USB dongle for now. This post has been edited by river.sand: May 16 2012, 09:04 AM |

QUOTE(tommyfai @ May 16 2012, 09:17 AM) i see.. yea.. mostly surely maxis will be the 1.. but couldn't attend anyway.. come bak i straight rush buy.. mauahahaha... hard to say.. the galaxy note was launched with digi and celcom.. galaxy tab is launched with celcom..i hate it when SME decides to do their launching with telco, having us to sign up 2 yrs contract in order to enjoy the promo and free gifts. they should held their own launching for those supporters that wants to buy the device off contract. it's like helping the telco to boost sales instead of their own sales. if they can do a separate launch themselves at the same time, then for sure telco have no business liao.. if not mistaken, for galaxy note, they only give out free flip pouch for first 9999 customers and nothing else. |

QUOTE(farscope @ May 16 2012, 09:21 AM) hard to say.. the galaxy note was launched with digi and celcom.. galaxy tab is launched with celcom.. depends on the price, i guess if its the same with iphone, i go for contract on S3.. but i still have contract on iphone though.. guess i have to buy it outright..i hate it when SME decides to do their launching with telco, having us to sign up 2 yrs contract in order to enjoy the promo and free gifts. they should held their own launching for those supporters that wants to buy the device off contract. it's like helping the telco to boost sales instead of their own sales. if they can do a separate launch themselves at the same time, then for sure telco have no business liao.. if not mistaken, for galaxy note, they only give out free flip pouch for first 9999 customers and nothing else. |

justifying from previous experience, most of the time i'll be staying places with wifi available(home+office), so a minimal plan voice+data plan shall be good enough.. it all depends on your personal phone usage and data usage. Other factor like network coverage also take into consideration.
