Hey everybody,
My sis wants to plan a charity event to raise funds for a children home (orphanage or disabled children). Any suggestions of homes that needs the donation most? Please help.

Thank you for your suggestions and support.

Can it be Shelter Home? As I know that Shelter Home needs more funds to provide education for children. Currently there are three shelters which are known as Shelter 1 (children from 4-12years), Shelter 2(teenage girls from 13-18years) and Shelter 3(teenage boys from 13-18years) which located at Petaling Jaya, Kuala Lumpur and Section 8, Petaling Jaya respectively.

But note that Shelter Home is not a home for orphans or disable children. But they offer protection for those children who were being abused and being a victim or witness of domestic violence.

The mission of Shelter Home is mainly focusing on children’s welfare. As stated below:

1- To rescue and protect children from the trauma of physical and sexual abuse, extreme neglect, being abandoned and being a victim or witness of domestic violence.

2- To help the children overcome their initial trauma and restore self-acceptance, dignity and their trust in humanity by giving them unconditional love, care, and an education.

3- To unite the children with their families where possible.

4- To reinforce the above by regular follow-up so that they can become useful citizens.
