Not sure if the character progress will be carried through to the new game but its definitely cheaper to get the Gold Edition right now with the 50% discount on steam than getting the crown package to upgrade your account

i bought the gold edition on steam but it show as tamriel unlimited in my steam library. is it normal?

ya its the same bro except that gold edition has 4 DLC and one free mount. Kinda suprised that gold edition is much cheaper. Just bought it too last week.

still not finish downloading the game. might take me 2-3 more days before i can log in.

On the up side, at least you dont have to worry about losing subcription time when on downtime like this, cause usually the patch themselves is quite big as well.
