Brought 5 of them , so far left 2 , set them up in a round plastic turtle bucket with holland sand and wood in half land, halfwater and with a small bowl of freshwater, in room temp, feed them pellet for crab/crayfish, anything i missing here?

very beautiful species of crabs. How did the others die?
try giving them a more varied diet

QUOTE
Feeding
Geosesarma are pretty easy to please food wise, they are voracious carnivores, they love small crickets (and fruit flies when they are young babies), They will also eat Isopods, frozen or freeze dried Bloodworms, flake fish food, crushed dry oak leaves, live moss, sphagnum peat, centipedes and other small soil organisms they can capture with their small claws and eat. I have tried several times to feed them fruits and vegetables but they don’t seem interested. People online have said their Geosesarma species will eat fruits and veggies but my red Sulawesi form never have. Other than occasionally grazing the live mosses they do not bother live plants, but they will climb the live plants and set up territories in densely grown planted vivariums.

QUOTE
The feeding can differ from the sites you look up. So from what i hear, i think this would sum it up.

Crickets possibly calciumed
Fruit fly possibly calciumed
It depends on how much calcium you want. You don't want too much and do it for everything....
Oak leaves boiled and cleaned
Fish food with NO Meatal additives
A lot of frozen fish foods... blood worms, glass worms shimp, cyclops, ect...
Live worms if choped up so they do not get into watter and rot
Again calcium cuttle bone, egg shells, egg powder
Peas letuce if washed. Nothing with a lot of acid

Nop, normal temp is around 29-33c
Water temp should be around 27-29c
Did you use any power head inside the water which cause the water warmer?

LOL. @arrow bro you too "kua cheong" already. Successfully keep them only, still fail to breed them. Need more expert to share their experience biggrin.gif

You mix they all in the same tank?Batik with your purple vampire?

Yes you are possible to get at pet store lowyat. Red devil crab is also vampire crab, so you are not out of topic dont be afraid tongue.gif

The common species we usually found at pet shop are red and purple. Try to get 2pairs of them, dont get too many male because they will fight with other male for female. biggrin.gif
