Dr Pang from Pang Dentist at Jalan Sri Permaisuri. Walking distance from Lrt Salak Selatan, 7eleven and Jpj Bdr Sri Permaisuri.

Root canal - RM 800 (2-3 trips).
6 months later, you will need to come back to his office to do crown (800-1300 depend on crown material & 2 trips). X-ray included.

Some dentist will just do root canal and 2 weeks later, they will fix in the crown. All settle in 1 month. Fast treatment and closed case. My colleague had spent total 2k (1k root canal, 1k crown) but at the end, his dentist decided to extract because tooth condition is bad. He wasted his 2k and pains along it.  Twice he went to that same dentist, and resulted the same outcome.

I went to Pang Dentist as per recommendation from this forum. That was about 6 months ago. The dentist is not a man. It is a young woman. I did call up to make an appointment and it was quite easy to get an appointment quickly. She is quite popular and the charges are reasonable. It is a good idea to make an appointment before hand.
Generally I prefer to get a dentist that is older and more experienced. Also the person will be more likely to spend time to talk about the procedure.
I didn't have a problem finding the clinic as I took the LRT. There is another dental clinic along the same road.

Four years ago,[COLOR=green] I did my root canal treatment at Ng dental clinic in Bangunan Lim Foo Yong but she has moved to the Weld recently. I was quite alarmed she did not xray my tooth prior to the root canal treatment. I had pain for some time after the treatment. She charged me an astronomical RM 2,800[COLOR=green] for the full root canal treatment. IMU charges were much cheaper. Now still not quite happy with the outcome of the tooth.

I usually have my dental work done at IMU Bukit Jalil but they seem to take Xray every time I visit the clinic. Sometimes more than twice a year. My teeth is not in a good shape, given my age[COLOR=red]. It was a Syrian doctor who xrayed my 'root canal treated' tooth and he said he was not 100% satisfied that it was done properly. After a filling done by that Syrian doctor, I now request for a local doctor or one from India. The tooth that he filled, hurt for 8 days after the procedure. This has never happened before.

I like the doctors at Lim Dental in New Town Centre, Petaling Jaya because they don't use injection before doing filling. But so painful.
Still looking for a doctor to do a filling for my tooth that was filled 2 years back. That was done in Melaka. I think my tooth is so weak, the 'injection numbed' filling must have caused a crack in the tooth.

My last experience with IMU student filling was not good. It was a young lady dental student. Previous visits were very good. Now I only go there to receive treatment by doctors only. Only scaling, I let the students do but not exactly well done.
