I plan to do root canal and searching for good experience dentist.
I plan to do upper molar. My usual dentist said that it's quite difficult to do so I plan to do somewhere else.

Thanks

I had a root canal done on my front tooth during my university days and it had turned dark. Not many places can restore it so my dentist recommended this endodontist clinic in building Tan Kim San ( the whole clinic). I did mine a few years ago for more than 2k. I had to make a few visits. That dentist has left but they have 4 or 5 others I think.
I would go back there if I need complicated work. It is at Jln Ipoh, you can google their address.

Dr Pang from Pang Dentist at Jalan Sri Permaisuri. Walking distance from Lrt Salak Selatan, 7eleven and Jpj Bdr Sri Permaisuri.

Root canal - RM 800 (2-3 trips).
6 months later, you will need to come back to his office to do crown (800-1300 depend on crown material & 2 trips). X-ray included.

I like his way of root canal. He monitored my case for at least 6 months, before he suggests me to crown my tooth. Some places just a gap of 2 weeks.
The purpose is to make sure that tooth is properly managed and infection subsidied.

I learned a lot from my dentist. If distance or other issues, probably you try to ask other dentist if he/she is following this procedure. A gap to see if that tooth is properly managed. Just my 2cent.

Some dentist will just do root canal and 2 weeks later, they will fix in the crown. All settle in 1 month. Fast treatment and closed case. My colleague had spent total 2k (1k root canal, 1k crown) but at the end, his dentist decided to extract because tooth condition is bad. He wasted his 2k and pains along it. Twice he went to that same dentist, and resulted the same outcome.

Happy exploring.

Just go to Tan Endodontic Specialist in Jalan Ipoh to ensure a better success rate of treatment outcome.
Get a crown placed after root canal treatment completed to avoid tooth fracture upon mastication.

Well you can't just generalise based on your colleague case alone. Most likely the problem is due to inadequately-done root canal treatment rather than placing the crown right after root canal.

Delaying placement of crown for too long especially over PREMOLARS & MOLARS will predispose your tooth from being cracked/fractured even upon routine chewing as the nature of root canal treated tooth are significantly fragile + there's no feedback mechanism as the nerve was entirely removed. Your tooth without nerve are not able to send feedback to brain whether the food is hard or otherwise.

Furthermore those with parafunctional habits like clencher or bruxer will exert strong biting force unconsciously / during sleep, thus rendering root-treated tooth prone to fracture.

If you are afraid, talk to your dentist. Every case is unique.

As long you find it worth, it will be alright.
This is just my 2cent of sharing.

Thanks for the explanations. I believe every case is unique and proper communications between patient and dentist is something that outsider will not know or aware.

As such, I am just bringing up a case, and not generalizing anything.

At the end, patient should be happy rather experiencing trauma because of the treatment.

coffee, tea or even orange can colour your teeth if you didn't brush properly. If scalling doesn't work for you then you may consider polishing your teeth. However, since your dentist said your teeth are in good condition then just ignore it.

Sometimes, 'fixing' it causes more damage than good.

I HAVE TRIED CALLING IMU DENTISTRY DEPARTMENT -- honestly, the prices no differences with outside private clinics, very expensive. I'm not sure whether whosoever recommended Dr Shekar Bhatia made appointment with him personally in order to get better prices but seriously the prices all not cheap.

My recommendation is ..try to ask OOI DENTAL CLINIC, KLANG, its so much cheaper

Treatment costs varies for diff types of tooth with diff difficulties. Few thousands. Not cheap thou.
Best to seek consultation first, then ask for price quotation prior to committing treatment.

The stains can be removed by scaling or bleaching or use a better toothpaste, your local dentist would be the best to suggest the Invisalign Cost for the treatment.

Depending on what dental treatment you are intending to do. My personal dentist is Dr Ong Lay Kei who is now working in BioSmile Dental Clinic in SS 2, Petaling Jaya. I used to have my braces done by her and now I am continuing my follow-up for routine check up and scaling. She is very professional, gentle and friendly. I bring along my family members too, all under her. Price is certainly affordable. So if you are looking for dentist in PJ area, can try looking for her.

BioSmile Dental Clinic (Klinik Pergigian BioSmile)
No. 18A, Tingkat Satu, Jalan SS 2/24, SS 2, Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
