Hi,

Im new to ICE and wanna complete my setup by adding amp and sub to go with my 2way component.

I bought a dls CA51 5 channel amp, is this amp good for SQ setup? Did not go 4 channel + mono cause the installation much more expensive.

The 170w rms mono channel quite weak so not much choice for 12inch subwoofer. My installer recommend Dominations ES sub rated at 150w rms, is this good?
Other than this do I have other choice that can be driven with my amp at within rm1k? Heard JLaudio, DLS OA12D and Impact 3712 also not bad.

This is my current setup:

HU - Alpine 9887 active crossover setup
Tweeter - Dominations F50 full range in pod
Mid bass - Ayam, planning to upgrade to Dominations RS
Soundproof - STP on front doors, 2 layers

Any suggestions?
Thank you
zennn

mono amp will be able to push harder. but somehow your 170w rms shouldnt be bad. your own suggested is in a good range. try audit.

domination ES is very good if you want a low power subwoofer that give you the real sub bass clarity...but if you were a bass head then you better save something and buy another amp and a more powerful sub......
