Thank you for the picture, but I think I din't see this one in Daiso in Melaka,
how does the package look like? is it ment for keyboard armrest?
or is it something else that you use it as armrest?

BTW the Diablo sancturay keycaps have new changes zzz are they gonna delay it to 2013?
*
this was advertised as an wrist rest but apparently you can also put this in the freezer and put on your shoulder to relief pain, as advertised biggrin.gif

the package is just a plastic with some cardboard showing what u can do....

it's a pvc bag with some liquid in it....

QUOTE(Cyclonechuah @ Jun 2 2012, 03:04 PM)
gaming keyboard, mechanical keyboard and normal membrane keyboard or scissor switch keyboard has no difference in response rate.

As for typing faster, it depends on users preference, once you know each and every key position and fully utilizing all fingers, you will be able to type fast.

But in Mechanical Keyboard, they do detect your key press faster than membrane keyboard due to key actuation point is at half of the key press distance.

Total Keypress travel 4mm, Key press detected at 2mm. So your keypress gets detected when your press the key on the way. Mech Keyboard are being said to be able to type faster mainly due to you are able to do touch typing.(touch typing means that you don't need to completely bottom up the key press to let keyboard detect the key press.)
*
i thought touch typing meant you dont look at the keyboard while typing?

QUOTE(Kenzany @ Jun 4 2012, 07:37 PM)

BLACK.

i still do not understand why BLACK is the favored for gaming keyboard. it feels very heavy for first time user like me. gamers are lazy, like me, i don't find the logic for using more force to press a key if they're being lazy. or maybe the heavy force is to actually prevent the keyboard for damaging the switches as gamers' rage, then ok i understand.
to me more force = lets me know that i am actually pressing the key...

and since i dont like click sound, blue is out of the question.

most of the time i bottom out anyway, tho it's nice to have a keyboard that registers halfway thru, lets you become slightly faster in response tongue.gif

You want make PS2 connection to USB? hmm.gif
AFAIK, you can only find this(if available) in Malaysia.
user posted image

The performance of it is quite limited. You can't hold more than 2keys stroke at the same time... rolleyes.gif and not compatible with all kbs.

Ppl at GH mostly recommending the "blue cube" and Belkin branded one(cost over 30USD, 2nd hand in TB cost around RM10).

nono not this... the other way round tongue.gif

That thing can break ar?
It looks pretty durable to me honestly.

its like this... i was cleaning my table when i decided to move it out abit. my desktop is placed on the floor, so the back of the table hit the cables, and the metal part of the converter literally bend. all the connections went loose, and now i put back also no signal tongue.gif

i leave only few cm of spaces in between the back of the table and my desktop...

Oh, that thing. It is quite cheap but also hard to find locally AFAIK... sweat.gif

It is mostly bundled together with some keyboard. So your worse choice is to buy another cheapo keyboard, LOL...
*
haha

are there any fancy ones like gold plated connectors etc etc?

taobao a few normal ones, like 5 yuan each haha

that sounds pretty ouch... did it broke the motherboard's ps/2 port?
*
nope... motherboard port is quite rigid compared to a mere converter tongue.gif

Gold plated connectors for keyboards are overrated.
Other than making you feel good, it has no benefits whatsoever.

Anyhoo, you can get these converters for cheap via eBay, no need to order them via Taobao, and then order a bunch of keyboards together with that to justify the shipping cost  tongue.gif
*
yeah... no benefits, just fancy in terms of looks tongue.gif

thanks for the idea... maybe ill go see my friend's shop whether he has any unused tongue.gif

gotta be prepared now that I no longer have spare parts >"<
