Call of Duty's UK webpage confirms the long rumored sequel to Call of Duty: Black Ops.


The website has this info about the game: "Pushing the boundaries of what fans have come to expect from the record-setting entertainment franchise, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 propels players into a near future, 21st Century Cold War, where technology and weapons have converged to create a new generation of warfare.."

The website shows the game's world reveal YouTube trailer, which is currently private and cannot be viewed. The trailer seems to show what looks like L.A. being attacked.

Last night, leaked Call of Duty: Black Ops II screenshots seemed to confirm the game's near future setting. The official site shows spaces for two screenshots; they are currently blocked with the words "Coming Soon". The images could be the leaked screenshots.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II is slated for a November 2012 release.

tbh, blackops 1 was kinda disappointing. I don't think BO 2 is going to be any better.

is it? for me modern warfare 3 is total failure. hahas.

Well I think Black Ops 1 was the best CoD I played, well balanced, guns don't seem too overpowered, if you don't look at the hit detection and connection issues that is.

Black Ops 2, meh, too futuristic, robots don't fit the CoD title.

never a fan of Treyarch after the frustration of playing COD3 & COD5
But BO change my mind about them, as it's so much better compared to their previous series
but still... won't be anticipating this one
COD:BO2 should change the name to COD:Future Warfare

COD series is basically dead after the departure of core members of Infinity Ward

no one does it better than Rambo riding a horse then a tank vs HindD
