QUOTE(bushyboy105 @ May 2 2012, 10:55 PM) Users have to comment lor..I'm yet to buy GnexAdded on May 3, 2012, 9:09 amFrom the forum it looks like only ap gnex has the tethering problem. But it is fixed by flashing the latest ics update by google. Signal thingy seems to be on all gnex. But I think it is rom related. My fren got this issue on his ori sme gnex on stock rom. QUOTE(ralfmars83 @ May 2 2012, 12:22 PM) I found out that AP set for Galaxy Nexus is from Japan NTT Docomo. The phone code is SC-04D. You guys can google it. But it seems like this unit cant do wifi tethering (hotspot) unlike the original GNex i9250. Hardware all all the same. Also it looks like Gnex has a signal issue. certainly my set is not from ntt docomo. This is why the price difference betwenn AP and Ori is huge for this model. Unlike other model around 100+ or less. So for those AP set users here, can you all give comments on wifi hotspot/usb tethering and the signal issue? What ROM are you guys on? i think mine is hong kong. i use both one x and gnex, in terms of speed, gnex is comparable to one x eventhough one x cpu is quad core whatever, my only gripe with gnex is the screeen quality, it looks dirty, not as sharp and bright as one x. About the screen, u are sayin that IPS2 LCD is better than super AMOLED (without plus), isn't it? |

depends on where u stay and reputation of the ap company. if u constantly outstation, then ori might make more sense bcos u can send fone for repair easily.
but for a difference of 700 ringgits, better buy ap. |

Since the price difference is so high, just get the AP set. As long as the hardware has no problem(check seriously before you buy), check the Galaxy Nexus thread, they will teach you how to check. Any software problem can be solved in XDA forum..^^

QUOTE(heavenly91 @ May 1 2012, 06:07 PM) Ori set you can claim warranty at every samsung centre. Are you sure? Your definition of AP is like water set. Actual AP sets can be brought back to the shop you bought from (where they'll send to the distributor), or you can bring it to the distributor yourself (SLink, Brandstar, etc).If you buy AP set if got problem you have to go back to that shop tat sell Ap. |
