Seems like the game is still CPU-bound, haven't really utilized the GPU. My CPU temp runs high whenever I play this, but GPU temp is okay.

QUOTE(animechuu @ Jun 9 2012, 04:44 PM) you can press tab for targeting nearest enemy Thank you for the information.Im running very smooth than last Stress Test which is 1 core CPU bound (15~20fps ish).. in BWE2 (40~50fps) my GPU is constantly 50~60% usage.. all my 4 CPU core is on 70~80% usage.. temp is usual if I'm gaming Running with 1080p all max except shadow on medium.. What's the usual reading on your CPU and GPU temp while you are gaming. For Dragon Age 1 and 2 on max graphics settings, I get about 70+ degree celcius for the CPU temp while 80 to 90 for the GPU. I feel that it is a bit strange in GW2. I place everything on low settings and yet still in the character creation screen, I get about 70 for the CPU temp while 90+ close to 100 for the GPU. During in game playing, I'm getting 87 to 95 for the CPU while 80 on the GPU. I just feel that something is not right. I have a 2nd gen I7 processor and ATI 6970M graphics card on my laptop. I think the specs are more than enough even on low graphics settings. During idle mode (not gaming), CPU is about 50 to 55 degree celcius while GPU is about 55 to 62 degree celcius. QUOTE(animechuu @ Jun 9 2012, 11:11 PM) wow thats quite high... well.. me idle both CPU and GPU are about ~40 ish.. when gaming went about ~60ish... gpu a bit higher tho.. You are right about that. Actually, mine is a gaming laptop. I have AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE @ 3.7Ghz and Asus GTX460TOP 1Gb @ 825Mhz maybe heatsinks need a bit cleaning or so? I did cleaning 2 times a month, my house a bit dusty so its easy heatsink got clogged with dust.. CPU: 2nd gen I7 2730QM GPU: ATI 6970M My laptop is just 1 year old. Got rid the dust and re-pasted my CPU and GPU. Current with max graphics settings in GW2, I got 68 to 75 for CPU and 75 to 85 for GPU. Back to normal |
