What kind of stupid post is this. D3 is no different from D2. The only change that the AH brings is there is an official trade intermediary now rather than having to buy from shady 3rd parties.

Its not like having full gear makes you more pro than the next guy. The game is a dungeon crawler..

^ well... I dare to say a lot of people actually misunderstood what GENRE is D3... It's not MMORPG, it's still a dungeon crawler but with annoying always-online DRM, and maybe useful co-op. I heard before that cash auction cannot be used for certain higher difficulty game play? (I was wondering if anyone actually clicked the spoiler on my last post?)

Well, another off topic post.

Back to GW2. All wait no show don't know what to do/talk about. I'm looking forward to play necromancer though if there will be a wipe, otherwise continue my last character and keep on going in the tailoring craft. I'm eager to get those SUPER EPIC level 40 karma weapon though o.O 9000 points needed. Please, no wipe... >_> wishful thinking... Or I should sleep less, don't craft, and chiong to 40 as fast as I can in 3 days... sweat.gif

Still, I am a little bit doubting, will this game keep me going for a year, two years? It certainly do not have any of those addictive elements like other MMO (you know what I mean, right? GAMBLING, that keep players rage quit, in the same time keep players asking for more...). Ask this question and answer honestly- WHAT is one of the element of GW2 that will keep you coming for more every single hour, every day, every week...? (a.k.a. addictive)

^ This...

I dunno bout u guys but did u guys explore the world fully?
There are caves behind waterfalls and vines...
There are hidden stuffs above the walls which can be gotten do by jumping on various platforms (and the same for all the other jumping puzzles out there)...
The world crafted by Anet is totally a beauty...
That moment when I met the Shatterer as he flies and land b4 all of us pew pew him using turrets etc was amazing...
There are also moments where I jz stopped moving and just look at the world around me taking screenshots (can't share those yet till they lift the NDA from me lolx)...

Not to mention friends...
The friends are what made MMOs fun...
The guild u are in (WoW or any other MMORPG) form a sense of belonging and attachment which keeps you playing and progress together as a core unit...
Unlike any other MMORPG as well, GW is tailored for eSport and the PvP, GvG and WvW aspect would be the time sucker...

And finally, new content...
Remember, the game is not like all those stupid grinding MMORPGs out there...
New contents are alway added, patches will come...
At the moment, only Zhaitan will be approachable and the rest of the elder dragons later on...

So far as I remember I only found one secret location... An underwater frog village cave near Viathan Lake... Some caves got skill challenge, and require a little of platforming to reach the spot don't know can call secret location or not =3

Go to the Village of Nolan and try to find the strawberry patch. There's a lot more to do than just farming (no puns).

People need to stop with that mindset.

it is marked in your maps as "Points of Interest", if I am not mistaken, but not upright marking it where it is. Just how many they have in that zone, so you can track how many have you found, or something

EDIT: Wrong, 'Points of Interest' is something else, I guess. according to the link by dopp

We’ll be conducting a stress test on Monday May 14 from 11 AM to 6:00 PM PDT (-7 GMT).

This special test event is open only to Pre-Purchase customers who have registered their accounts. With your help, we can conduct important tests and address some of the issues we identified during our first Beta Weekend Event. During this event, all you need to do is play normally with a new or existing character on your Beta account using the same game client. Please note that since this is a stress test of our servers, you may experience some in-game performance issues. If you’ve pre-purchased Guild Wars 2 and wish to participate in the stress test, we recommend that you register the account and download the game client.

Pre-Purchase customers, log in to the Beta Forums for more information and/or to download the Beta client if needed.
