When I started collecting jersey 12 years ago they started with fake name like 'flyhawk'.
In 2010 it is quite impossible to find a long sleeve fake jersey but now you can find it anywhere.
Now you can even heat press your fake jersey at uptown/downtown with not only famous one like rooney, persie or kagawa, but also cleverley which not only in EPL style, but they have it in UCL also.
By next year confirm got printing for reserve and youth player.
i started out collecting man united jersey in 1996, i remember the first united kit i bought was the umbro home kits for 1996-1997 season, on that era, usually the kits was used for two season, same as the away kits, so we can alternate buying the home and away kits respectively....since nike took over as official kits provider, the situation was changed, every year nike will launched new replica kits to make a lot of profits since the BPL has a wider and widespread fans over the globe...only away kits was utilized for two season, as far as i can remember, only once since nike era united used the same home kits for two season, which is the kits for season 2007-2008 where the year united won the champions league and fifa world club cup...this hobby becomes expensive as the year went by....so for my beloved united, i alternate buying the home kits and away kits every year, plus i also bought other international replica kits and other european clubs...so to keep my hobby going, i sometime sell my collection to buy a new kits...recently, i sold my man utd centenary kits and juventus 2011/12 kits, i also generate a new interest of collecting a retro kits as 2 weeks ago i bought a man utd's 1998/1999-1999/2000 home kits with the bargain price.....so, the conclusion is, to maintain this hobby, you need to have a group or friends who share the same passion as you, and you need to work harder to earn extra income to add to your jersey collection, but you can also make some money by selling some of your collection.....there are many groups in facebook (malaysia jersey collectors, jersey collectors etc) which gives the platform to the jersey collectors to buy and sell their collection...happy hunting guys, collecting the jersey is not a hobby but is an addiction hahaha...
