Actually my black car was ready and available last week, but I let my SA to give the car to other people since I'm still looking a good trade-in price for my car.

so now I'm waiting for next round of delivery.

It must be able to integrate with phone because it has bluetooth. Except iphone ( I think) since I'm not very sure with iphone bluetooth policy.

For Android and other phone users....it shouldn't be any problem.

Anyway, could you check whether you can sinc the phonebook to HU ? This is very important. It should work since an aftermarket FM bluetooth module can do that.

edit : I think I saw the phonebook button in your picture, so it should be able to sync the phonebook. Nice. Now I can keep the phone in my pocket all the time.

btw, is there any phone button on the steering wheel ? or you have to press on the HU ?

the person that got Black Preve (CFE) from Proton Edar COSE Hicom must be the one that I let go since my SA said the one that the name down in the list got the car.

Now, he doesn't know when my car will arrive....

How about the engine sound in the cabin ?

I've testdrove 4 different preve.... there is one preve at Hicom (COSE) that has very noisy engine sound and even the dashboard rattled during hard acceleration (feels like the engine mounting has gone). The other three was quite okay.

I beleive, since the new announcement, definately they will print a new warranty booklet.

However, they will not throw the earlier printed version to the bin.

Furthermore, to print a new booklet requires several steps/stages or procedures (I recall my previous experience with one of the manufacturing co.) The least they can do is to print additional hand-out or errata to the current booklet but if the booklet has been distributed, then it will be another hassle.

I pre-booked the car during Proton power of 1 and Bukit Jalil...and I theoretically I got the car already, but I let go the car to someone else.

I think the delay is expected and I don't think Proton will setup additional production line for the initial surge. They as other manufacturing company will have projection and estimation before setting up the production line. Unless they underestimate the response. Furthermore it is not good to rush the production beyond their limit. I believe they have target time for a single car and to its not wise to reduce the target time as it will jeopardize the quality aspect.

For the bold part, there have so many reasons that we don't know. For example, the car that I let go last week was given to someone else that newly booked since it is a black colour and he wants the same colour. There will be some people booked earlier than him but still waiting due to the colour selection. To these people, maybe they thought the newly booked cut the queue or got cable or something but in reality it is not.

I believe it is still first come first serve basis. What ever we say over here about the cable,fiber optic, Tan Sri etc are mere hearsay and speculation, nothing more.

As I said previously, maybe the reason somebody got their car early because someone let go the car. I've given my example where I let go the car and someone down the line got it since he wanted the same colour. There is not cable, connection or Tan Sri here.

Regarding the production, I strongly believe the painting process goes batch by batch. Once setting is for black, Proton will produce a lot of blacks (more than the demand) before changing the colours. Proton can't simply change the colour setting between cars. They have to change between certain lot number.

This is happen to all other manufacturers. Last time, I've visited BMW factory at Munchen, they are doing the same for the painting procedure.

That is the reason some SAs will say, if you want to get cars quickly, don't specify the colour. In this case, whenever they have colour that doesnt belong to anyone, you can take the car.

Are you shifting from P to R and your car is on a slope ?

Reading from the booklet, only the wear and tear parts are covered up to 3years (36 month) like cables, seals, rubber etc... The engine and transmission itself is covered for 5 years (60 month).

Last week, I let go the car that was allocated to me and today my SA called me saying my car has been allocated and the chasis number is 1158. The previous chasis number is 1155.

I don't know how Proton allocate the chasis number. Maybe the black preve chasis number from 1100 to 1200 ? I don't know.

and how come I've seen some one with chasis number 3XXX ?

The SA said, even though I let go the car, my name is still high up in the list since I pre-booked the car. At first I thought if i reject the car, then my name will be at the bottom of the list...apparently, its not.

No. You can get plat number registration even without chasis number. I got my registratin number before knowing my chasis number.

No its wrong (the bold part). If you study reliability or Design for Reliability, the initial Reliability probability is not 1 (ideally is 1) but in reality its about 9.8 ~ 9.9 which is good enough but can't guaranttee WITHOUT any problems. In theory, R(0) = 1 , but in reality R(0) = 0.99 or less. Maybe the only different is how less from 1.

I believe the bashers are butthurt since Proton has improved a lot (within 25 years) and capable of giving a reasonable priced car compared with other marques. Of course some people will hate the positive developement and will come here to bash. This is to be expected.

I think, if I'm not mistake, last time I said to you that you know nothing about automotive industry. Today, I'm going to tell you that you know nothing about manufacturing, production, design for reliability, design for maintanability and so many thing involve manufacturing a product.
