QUOTE(ultramaman @ Apr 30 2012, 01:21 PM)
then why the hell the service center uses 10/40 oil when the service manual and owners manual specifically say use 10/30 ? if check owners manual, minimun for cps and cfe is 10/30 .
check back the owners manual  and the service manual and see ..?
*
manual dint say specifically must use 10w30. It RECOMMENDS 10w30 and above. That 10w30 is the threshold. One cannot use any engine oil with viscosity lower than 10w30.

3 years is the standard warranty, Proton is now giving another 2 years warranty via "Extended warranty". I guess whichever item warranty which can be extended is covered with 5 years warranty.

still, better call up icare to check out. iff i care tak tau apa apa (which is typical) then go Service Center and ask for the extended warranty punya list. See all the components punya maximum warranty period under extended warranty.

QUOTE(K2002 @ May 2 2012, 11:37 PM)
After a few days of running around. There is a few things i want to point out not sure it applys to all preveans'.

park my car facing downhil. From P change to R before i press the accelerator pedal the car is going down. Is it all auto cars suppose to be stay put without moving infront? the hill gradient i think not that steep.... maybe 5% or 10% only... is it because of car heavy the cvt gear box not able to pull car behind?

Another thing is the sluggishness at start getting lesser...not sure why is bit more responsive.
anther thing is there is a slight vibration when going up hill traveling at around 80 or 90kph. rpm around 2200~2500.

CVT whinning is kinda loud too. i not sure consider loud or not but the airplane sound whooosssh is  kinda loud especially during down hill at high speed. if you dont press the accelerator during down hill the CVT whines loud.
*
it rolls down because it is the characteristic of it. Think it like a manual transmission car with automated clutch. In a manual car, when you engage reverse on a slope, the car will also reverse a bit before going forward, or in your case, going forward a bit (since the gravity is pulling it downwards) before start rolling backwards. Dont think it as an automatic car, it behaves differently. For me, when picking up on slopes, I engage D first, press a bit of throttle then at the same time release my handbrake. Like this the car wont roll downwards.

The sluggishness is getting lesser is due to two factors;

1) you beginning to get used to it
2) The ECU has learnt your driving pattern.

As for the whinning during downhill, it is the engine braking. When rolling downhill without pressing accelerator, the downhill recognition kicks in and engage engine braking to prevent the car from gaining speed at a fast pace. If you wish to cancel out the hill hold feature, you just input some throttle. During engine braking, the rpm usually holds at 2,500 rpm~3,000rpm.
