i want to do my first casing mod myself and i do not want it to be that fancy.

my idea :

strips of all 6 panels of a normal ATX casing and replace it with something totally see-through..

or completely build everything from see through, tough and non glass materials, and not easily breakable materials.

any help or guidance is much appreciated.

note: basically, i havent started anything yet, i do not have any idea what materials or tools to use to make what i want to do.

What you need to use is Acrylic. There's already a fully see through acrylic case by sunbeam. If remove normal atx casing panel also can be done but the cage have to cut here and there to make it look nicer and tidier.

how much is a piece of uncut acrylic/plexi glass, when i think about it, as you say, making a full plexi/acrylic glass casing seems better than removing panels and replacing .

however, what about the measurements with the bottom back panel which holds the graphic card(s) and the connectors from the mobo ? do they have standard measurements ?

what about the panel which holds the mobo ? does all panels has many diff holes for diff mobo or does all mobo has same holes for screws ?

i plan to use full flexiglass to make it, however the glass has to be thick in the inside to hold up everything and thin on the outside, and use full bolts and nuts to combine all together and etc, no glue.

it wont be a quick project, but somehow a year or two worth of project and the organs is not going to be ultra high end, just low or medium end with some lightnings.
