ahh the infamous Overclocking failed message even though you do no not overclock .. reset all settings, update bios and do every possible updates ..

the message is shown usually with some pc undetermined faults.

Symptoms, booting up pc, no display, sometimes cant boot to windows, sometimes plays game without lag/problems and it freezes, force restart cant boot into pc and in the end, when you are able to boot, overclockin failed message appears smile.gif

one of the reason is due to a loose component or dust disturbing elctrotransmission btw components. (which happened to me)

my suggestion : take out components which has contact points such as graphic card, and ram, NOT CPU unless you got extra termal paste to re apply.

(before taking out, please touch any non metalic parts of the computer or anything which is non metalic a few times to discharge any electrostatic)

use this : user posted image

or

better still, if you can get this : user posted image Compressed air can.

blow all contact points/sockets at a dry place. once done thoroughly, put it back, and try again.

it should work fine assuming all your components are still in good working order.
